^^His daughter Belinda thinks that but the truth is that the people involved with the movie haven't announced the whole cast yet.

The polar opposite of Michael. That dynamic should be in the movie even if it's just for a few brief scenes. I think it could be quite funny and entertaining. They could use this interview as inspiration.

I would imagine they’ll have to make quite a few compromises in order to squeeze MJ’s life story into 3 hours.

I don't know if Dileo is or isn't going to be in the biopic. I think he should be, but if he's not that's probably not on Branca.
People around MJ and their family members need to get the memo that this is a Michael Jackson biopic, not a Michael Jackson’s collaborators and coworkers biopic. Inevitably some will be left out and that's not because Branca is evil and has a vendetta against them. He hasn't written the script. If someone is left out I'm sure that's rather because of storyline considerations. I really hope we won't have a tantrum every week about why someone isn't in the biopic.

I love Dileo, MJ and him were like the odd couple, but I sort of agree. I hope he’s in it but if not it’s probably not going to affect the overall plot. As for a tantrum every week? Oh yes there will be! Every week now there’ll be a new drama and something to get upset about and take umbrage with! 🤦🏻♂️

You'd think Dileo's entire look and persona, especially when contrasted with MJ's, is made for cinema.
He was an important and colorful figure during a key time, but when considering how much they are seemingly trying to cover, you could argue his tenure may have been a bit too short. All these characters will need to be introduced to the audience too, after all.
It wouldn't surprise me if they merge all the manager characters together and make it Branca (which I guess I could understand, given how these biopics work, but wouldn't like).

Yeah, there’ll be a certain amount of liberties taken and artistic license for sure. Fans will need to accept that as well as telling MJ’s story it has to be told in the form of a film that has a story arc and throughline narrative. If it’s over populated with characters then it could become very messy. Ultimately the audience has to be invested in the story and care about the main characters.

I'm very intrigued as to what post-80s music they are going to choose to showcase. Black or White is a given and it wouldn't surprise me if they also went with Heal The World, although part of me thinks Man In The Mirror has the humanitarian side of things covered.
It would be nice to see one or two deep cuts from his 90s albums given some love. Will also be interesting to see if Invincible gets mentioned at all. Somehow I doubt it. They aren't going to depict the Sony war and then say, by the way, buy the soundtrack album, released by... ummm... Sony.

HIStory is his most autobiographical album, so using several of its songs (and not just the hits) seems like a no brainer to me. Stranger in Moscow, Money, Tabloid Junkie, This Time Around etc. Oh, and Morphine from BOTDF.
