I’m pleasantly surprised with the track list already, there’s a good few new tracks/demos I haven’t heard so I’m fine if they save Hot Street and Nite Line for another release.

Eh... if they want to make it a really strong tracklist Hot Street and Night Line have to be on there IMO.

Actually I've flip flopped. Im glad Cant Get Outta The Rain will be on there. A bloody BOP and I cant not move to it. Nice new recorded vocals of the very first solo collab between MJ and Q. It's not even a real song. It's just an extended outro 😑

Also, if you listen to the leaked demo of WBSS and compare it to the one released on This Is It, it's actually a different mix (synths sound lower/different in the leak) so I'm confident the leaked tracks will all be fully remixed and different to what we already have.

Post taken from MJ*C Forum.
Potential spoiler for next track to be announced.
""track 13" this is really interesting I think Carousel will be announced this week. A link to the "Track 13" tag has been activated (which is redirecting to Carousel on YT-Premium)."
Fun song. Still baffled as to why such a short version was ever considered let alone released on Thriller SE.

If Sunset Driver is announced to be on Disc 2, does anyone know if it was worked on beyond the OTW album? (I assume the version we all know from UTC was from OTW era?)
It'll be good to get that song on streaming too, finally. I think it was cool they included it on the Xbox 360 version of Michael Jackson: The Experience too.

I've seen people on MJJC post that the version on TUC was a version done for Thriller. Not sure what the source of that is though.

Sunset Driver sounds quite disco, very unfitting for Thriller. It must be an OTW era track, unless it was reworked and updated during the Thriller sessions but the version that appears on TUC sounds disco.

Someone on MJJC pointed out that the version released on TUC is registered as a 1982 recording.

It doesn't sound like the other Off The Wall demos which are fairly primitive. The instrumentation doesn't scream 1978-79 to me. His vocal style sounds post '79 as well. Some have speculated it's a Triumph era demo. I think it could be even later than that.

The instrumental still sounds quite disco. It'd make sense if it was recorded in 1980 since it was the last year disco was in fashion.

Well the people who have the tape boxes and studio logs should know as they should have the dates on them.

His vocals have that slightly grittier/more energetic delivery that you hear on most Thriller era demos (e.g. compare this to the chorus of the more complete Trouble demo, it's very similar). And the instrumental sounds more 'electronic' than OTW era tracks and demos, again much more similar to Thriller demos (e.g. compare this to the instrumental of Got The Hots).
