It was pointed out that those copyright registrations aren't always accurate (In The Back has an incorrect creation date on there) so who knows really. Well the people who have the tape boxes and studio logs should know as they should have the dates on them. Well In The Back is listed as having been created in 1989 and we know it wasn't so

I hope they update his profile pictures and banners on Spotify and other social media when this drops. The current one of him from In The Closet has not only been his profile picture/banner for yeeeears but it’s also low quality. Bring on a nice high quality Thriller era photo!!
Apple Music even lets you have an animated video banner on an artists profile (albums too), so they should take advantage of it.

Well In The Back is listed as having been created in 1989 and we know it wasn't so Yeah, but that's just a mistake. That's a different thing. The recording logs wouldn't say 1989. The actual dates of everything should be known if all the logging was done properly at the time. That's assuming things like that were being done in MJ's home studio. In the 80's at least I would have thought so.

If it gets announced for Thriller 40 I guess we'll have an answer? Although I instinctively don't trust stuff the Estate say about MJ's music as there's many examples of them not having a clue.

Next week, Cant Get Your Weight Off Of Me
MJ The Experience alluded to this being an OTW track too. It was in his late 70s look. I remember the choreography!
I need to look at the notes for this song in TUC, the personnel may help confirm when this was recorded

I always thought it was an Off The Wall outtake. With such confusion…..

Ah! So there IS an Off The Wall version but we’ve never heard it. They mislabelled the 1982 version. Okay 👍🏼 No no no, the 78 version was on a test pressing. I see.

So weird that they are saying it was written for the Thriller album. Accurate history is so important and we just cannot trust this estate to not lie about stuff.

Well, it's not like For All Time wasn't sold to us as a Thriller era song on T25, during MJ's lifetime.

If SD was really considered for Thriller then I don't think it's as out of place as FAT was for Thriller.
