If SD was really considered for Thriller then I don't think it's as out of place as FAT was for Thriller. I agree with you, they're saying it was written for Thriller, though. Well, when was whoever runs MJ's social media accounts not totally clueless about MJ? LOL.

I knew it wasn’t a Thriller track! I’m fine with it being on there as we all knew we’d probably get 2 unheard tracks.

Sunset Driver, Recorded 1982.
Written in black and white in the book for The Ultimate Collection. I stand corrected. Recorded by Bill Botrell.
I'm quite surprised I have to say. It sounds like '82 MJ with Triumph '81 music so I shouldn't be

All this time I would have said with absolute certainty that book would have said 78/79. As I said, the Estate went for an OTW era image for the Experience game but right now... Sunset Driver, welcome to my Thriller playlists 🤣

Oh lol. I’ve always assumed it was for OTW and I’ve heard that regurgitated from other people too. Guess I was wrong!
Good to have it on the album. It’s a great outtake of his. Couldn’t really give a damn it’s on TUC tbh. Not like it’s a boxset that’s either been in stores or on streaming anytime recently.

Sunset Driver, welcome to my Thriller playlists 🤣 It was originally written and recorded for OTW. Version on TUC is apparently from 82. (Still personally unsure about this if I'm honest, TUC booklet is full of errors)

If it ain't OTW then my assertion that missing it off was the only track selection mistake he made up until Invincible is wrong. I'm not sure it would fit on Thriller in place of BBM. I guess, and it pains me to say, it's better than PYT but I'd hate to see that go. And yes,Streetwalker is fabulous, but should it have replaced JGF. And again, yes, I know it was vying for APOMs spot but obviously the right decision was made there.
