Yet, it's a lot more likely that someone like Iggy Pop indeed had sex with a 13 yo (as he himself admitted to it in song lyrics)... Here's an idea: Maybe just don't play moral police at all in a music magazine, leave that to courts. And a reminder: yes, MJ was on trial for child molestation. He was also acquitted on all counts. Maybe it's time for the media to respect that and not write BS like "it's more difficult to enjoy his music since we KNOW certain things about his private life". They don't know. They assume because they took an allegation at face value. Maybe it's time they realize that. In any case, what they believe or don't believe about his private life should not play a part in how they evaluate him as an artist. There's absolutely no need to bring that up in a music related article. If they looked out of their ivory tower for a moment they'd see that people actually have no problem with enjoying his music: his streams and sales are even higher now than before LN. Ideally this would be the way things work, but I swear MJ fans live in their own world when it comes to this stuff. I'm pretty sure most of us, MJ fans know how the media works: the hypocrisy, the double standards, the downright malice. Knowing that's how they operate doesn't mean it should be called out.

It's not just a media thing. Half of it is a media issue and half of it is just the nature of the allegations.

The guy who dreamed up this list is a genius! Rolling Stone couldn’t have bought this type of advertising. That dude is most probably getting a bonus.
It’s a list. Who cares?

I'm not a fan of his voice myself but what about Tom Jones. He can sing the fuck out of anything.
This list seems more of an American list with the odd British singer thrown in. But not Annie Lennox for some reason.

Everyone knows the impact MJ made and that he was one of the greatest to ever do it. We don’t need Rolling Stone to tell us shit!

The same man that approved Monster, Keeping Your Head Up and Breaking News? He obviously didn't think much of MJ as a singer when he commissioned them for release.
Fuck off John.

I think fans need to move on. I think he has a valid point. Nobody has insulted MJs artistry in a more damaging and offensive way than his own estate did in 2010 releasing those fake ass songs. I guarantee MJ would feel a lot more betrayed by the actions of the men he supposedly trusted to handle his estate than his low placement in some random magazine list.
