Michael Jackson Estate Nearing Music-Catalog Sale Worth $800

I can imagine it be true. Besides her allowances (on top of the Estate fully paying all her costs, housing, utilities etc) according to Estate accountings I have seen she also often takes loans from the Estate. I'm not sure if she's paying those all back, or if she's even expected to.

I don't believe a 90+ year-old woman whose costs are fully covered needs all that money. Probably she's allocating it to her "cubs" and other family members. I think much of the family lives off of MJ's Estate, not just the beneficiaries. But I guess MJ knew how the family dynamic works and this was always calculated into it. The Estate is very generous to the family. There are also some other family members, like Jackie, TJ etc on their payroll as "advisors" and (TJ) a "guardian" (even though the kids are grown) and I think it's a way to funnel them money. But obviously some other family members (like Randy) aren't on such good terms with the Estate.

I don't believe 90+ Katherine is doing this legal action on her own and that against the wish of MJ's children, the actual heirs. I feel Randy is behind all this maneuvering as he must be worried that after Katherine dies this source of money will dry up for him. Katherine is a beneficiary but not an heir. Meaning that when she dies her share goes back to MJ's children and won't be passed on to her own heirs. I don't know what Randy hopes from this litigation as to how it could help him, but I just don't believe it's Katherine doing all this litigation at 90+.

BTW, as much as Estate critics lionized Katherine for blocking the sale, from the above article it looks like she's not against the sale in itself or as a matter of principle, she simply argues that more money could be asked for it. Mind you, no other catalog was valued $1.2 billion before...
