Well, we all listen to MJ, so the answer is automatically yes This is really problematic to me and not sitting well. I think the original post meant listening to those who were actually found guilty and not from false accusations

I have to say the more Roger Waters interviews I see the more difficult I find it to listen to Pink Floyd's music. Which I know is a bit unfair to the other members of the band, who called him out on his BS. Don't know much about the man. What is it you find so offputting?

I have to say the more Roger Waters interviews I see the more difficult I find it to listen to Pink Floyd's music. Which I know is a bit unfair to the other members of the band, who called him out on his BS. Don't know much about the man. What is it you find so offputting? Some would probably dispute this, but watching several interviews with him IMO he's a massive and obsessive antisemite. He says he's just "critical of Israel's policies" but my opinion is that's just a cover of a deeper antisemitism he has and that very often shows in his conspiratorial language when talking about Israel/Jews, support of terrorist organizations such as Hamas and massive double standards (eg. constantly bashes Israel without any nuance of a rather complicated political situation, but at the same time defends Russia by saying we should consider their POV and making false parallels such as "Is Putin really that much worse than Biden?"...) Pink Floyd's other members called him out recently as well: www.theguardian.com/music/2023/feb/07/pink-floyd-lyricist-calls-roger-waters-an-antisemite-and-putin-apologistI have also seen a video recently of someone who used to work with him and he confirmed he's a massive antisemite in private life. ETA: But I have to add I don't support anyone's cancellation. Meaning their being pulled from streaming services or their work from the shelves of stores. Not even someone openly Nazi, like Kanye. (Unless he's going to make songs now praising Hitler or something. Then those particular songs shouldn't be distributed on streaming services.) It's just a personal choice I've made to delete the PF songs from my playlist and that was because I find RW repugnant. Which I admit is not quite fair to the rest of the band. And I also admit I'm not even consistent and sometimes it's a dilemma. I don't have any issues re Kanye, because I didn't have his music on my playlists before he came out as a Nazi either. So I have no business with Kanye. But I do read authors who were known to be antisemites. For example, I quite like Dostoyevsky, he was a genius, but was an antisemite in private life. I'm just shutting that out in his case. Just because someone is talented it doesn't mean they are perfect. No one is. If we are throwing out everyone with controversial/repugnant views or behavior, hardly anyone is going to be left. So why can't I do that in case of RW? Possibly because RW is so active and in your face with his political opinions (he's constantly doing interviews about politics) that for now at least it's hard to ignore for me. He's also doing political activism, including during his concerts, so he's very vocal and that makes it hard to ignore for me. In fact, in one of his concerts he told the audience that whoever's just here for the music but doesn't care for his politics can fuck off. So I'm going to fuck off then when it comes to his music.

I used to listen Elvis Presley in my teenage and early adulthood years but it's absolutely revolting he dated and more likely did sexual stuff with 14 year old Priscilla him being an adult. It's been said there were other underage girls but at least Priscilla was confirmed.
I will never understand how Elvis still has fans and held as the King of Rock 'n' Roll. Even though MJ has millions of fans, a lot more people deem him as a criminal than to Elvis.
