Seems like this teaser features actual audio from the 90s sessions of them working on the songs? I've been listening to "Real Love" a lot because of this announcement, and watching the clips of this and "Free As A Bird". A book on George that I read recently said that he really didn't like these sessions and only did them because he had made some very bad investments but I always smile seeing the footage of the 3 of them work.

this is Peter Jackson talking about the Now and Then music video (coming 11/3):
Paul and Ringo shot footage of themselves performing and sent that to me. Apple unearthed over 14 hours of long forgotten film shot during the 1995 recording sessions, including several hours of Paul, George and Ringo working on Now And Then, and gave all that to me. Sean and Olivia found some great unseen home movie footage and sent that. To cap things off, a few precious seconds of The Beatles performing in their leather suits, the earliest known film of The Beatles and never seen before, was kindly supplied by Pete Best

I don't know whether to wait for the actual video for the song to come out and watch that first before the mini doc that comes out today lol.

Not QUITE gripped me as much as Real Love did, but I've a feeling this will grow on me ten fold. That solo, and the harmonies. Real sense of finality to it.

So if this is considered the "last" Beatles song, what does that make Carnival of Light? Do they just want to forget that one ever existed, or...?

OK the more I listen the more I hear Egypt Station. It's good but far removed from Real Love.

It's a nice song. The bit where Paul comes in seems mixed oddly, but might be me. His guitar solo is gorgeous though, that really got me. Someone pointed out that Ringo is the last voice you will ever hear on a Beatles recording. When you listen to this after Free as a Bird and Real Love it sounds SO loud cos of the different mixing and mastering.
