I don’t think she’s legendary like The Beatles, but she is a icon in her own right in US. In my country, she’s almost unknown outside MJ’s fanbase. In my opinion, some MJ’s fans like her because she dances and has some MJ’s mannerisms, but I never liked her music and her personality seems cold. While it seems the majority of her fans are Mj’s fans too, she has a fanbase of her own even though it’s rather small, this fraction of her fanbase is annoying and insecure always trashing Madonna and Michael. I KNOW it shouldn't take it on her but those fans who trash Michael even though they should be aware how much she's taken from him to incorporate it into her work, makes me dislike her even more and how she threw him under the bus after the trial and after he died doesn't help either. I don't deny how influential she is but her fame is mostly USA wise. But they accuse Michael of copying her. I think both of them were inspired by each other sometimes. There’s no need to be a competition, they’re siblings. Michael was on a whole other level, nobody comes close. I wish some of her fans would stop their attacks on Michael and his children (mainly Paris). Janet’s active role during that mess in 2012 was deplorable. |

I like Beyoncé as an entertainer. I’ve seen her in concert, she’s amazing. But I agree that her music catalog isn’t great.

Many of you have mentioned Beyonce. I'd add to the list Adele, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay even if they're not legendary yet, they're hugely successful and a few of the most boring acts. Even if I'm not a huge fan, Beyoncé is legendary and hardly boring. Out of interest, who apart from Michael, do you like? I didn't include her in the boring list but her accomplishments aren't colossal yet to a legendary level and her music gets worst and less meaningful every time. As a hardcore fan that knows back and foth his catalog and loves most of his work, just Michael but I listen and enjoy a variety of genres. Too many artists to name, this screencap may give you an idea.  |
