I voted Thriller.
It's a singles album. WBSS, Human Nature, Billie Jean and Beat It are amazing. The album tracks (Baby Be Mine, Lady In My Life and PYT) are meh. And Thriller and TGIM are nothing to write home about. I know that sounds blasphemous, but Thriller is a mix of the greatest pop songs ever written and some utter fluff/filler.
Screw you guys voting for OTW.

Thriller has stronger songs mostly written by Michael alone than Off The Wall.

I regard ITFIL as Michael's worst and most generic duet released on his official albums.

Would you rate it below Thriller 25 and Michael if I had included those? No, of course not. I do actually really like Bad, but out of his solo albums, I think itโs my personal least favourite. I fully acknowledge that songs like Smooth Criminal, Dirty Diana and Man In The Mirror are exceptional, but thereโs a whole bunch of songs on the album that donโt really do it for me, such as Just Good Friends, TWYMMF, Speed Demon and IJCSLY. Even the title track Iโm not really that fussed on.

I voted for Bad. And even if the question had been 2001 instead of 1999, I still would've voted Bad. Shoot me.

Indeed. Especially when I shot him another five times when he arrogantly said 'Invincible is still better than Bad, ha ha'.

Screw you guys voting for OTW. I beg to concur, Thriller is a bit long, but the dancing, video and his vocals are incredible, the whole notoriety of it adds more cream. Lady in my life and Baby be mine are both first rate R&B ballads/up tempo pop depending on how characterise them. Both do their jobs real well and again it is Michael's singing and the sincerity in which he sings them that really adds more cream. The girl is mine is not so great, does its job and Michael again soars, plus its catchy okay its not Beat it, but is sure ain't filler, add the 5 hits you describe and you have a good reason why it is the BEST selling album of all time and it made Michael Jackson as recognisable as McDonalds and Mickey Mouse!

This may not be a popular opinion, but I'm going to choose Dangerous. I am not a fan of all that New Jack Swing stuff on the first half of the album. The only songs on side one of Dangerous that I dig are Remember The Time and Heal The World. Fortunately, the second half of the album is exquisite, but after a run of three flawless albums, Dangerous marked a decline in quality control for me.
