In this I mean of his 1979 - 2001 output, no live albums, greatest hits sets, EPs like BODF or Motown era and knockoffs. Just the Big six.
I say least favourite too, as I don't consider any of the Big Five bad.
I am not including Blood on the Dancefloor as there is only 5 new songs and 8 bad remixes and it would be unfair to compare 5 songs against the 9 or more entirely original songs on the others.
I have also for spice, decided to exclude Invincible as I know it would be an automatic choice and it will make you hard to choose any of the remaining 5.
Have fun and tell us why.

I have chosen Off The Wall, as I like it, but it is just not as strong as the other 4. Thriller, Bad and Dangerous are all epic and HIStory at least has some of his best ever songs, but OFTW he was still finding his feet, there is no denying the quality and power of DSTYGE, OFTW, Working Day and Night, Get on the Floor, Rock with you and Burn this disco out. But Girlfriend is truly terrible and the only golden age (1979 - 1995) album track to have missed our Top 100 lists, and lets face it - Its the falling in love and She's out of my life are average rather than great songs. It's the falling in love is decent, but hardly epic.

Why has no one voted or responded yet. It is hardly any offensive question

Off The Wall I guess as has a couple of skippable tracks.

I'm torn between Off The Wall and Dangerous. I'll go Off The Wall. Girlfriend lacks the middle section, and It's The Falling In Love tip it.

All five are fantastic, but HIStory has the weakest stretch imo. Girlfriend may be the worst track on any of these albums, but Come Together's gotta be in contention too. D.S. (has some nice moments but that's it), YANA (never liked it), This Time Around (goes on for too long), Childhood (appreciate it but rarely care to listen to it), even 2 Bad (nice track bust vastly overrated) are all not that special to me. HIStory has some great moments but that middle-to-end section of the album, where many of these (all 4 minute plus) tracks are positioned, is imo the weakest out of all 5 records. SOOML and It's The Falling In Love are both not great (though the latter is pretty decent), but at least relatively short, and interrupted by the brilliant I Can't Help It.

I can only imagine what would have happened if I'd mentioned Smile!

I can only imagine what would have happened if I'd mentioned Smile! You may as well now, since you've pissed all over everything else. My day was going fab until I came into this thread and saw the unprokoved attacked on HIStory. #ittoo

I voted for Bad. And even if the question had been 2001 instead of 1999, I still would've voted Bad. Shoot me.

Bang! Bang!
Please explain why Bad would be the worst, I just can't comprehend why anyone would not love this album to pieces. Would you rate it below Thriller 25 and Michael if I had included those?
