I voted for Bad. And even if the question had been 2001 instead of 1999, I still would've voted Bad. Shoot me. Due to my strong personal convictions, I wish to stress that I in no way endorse Matty's views on this subject - Liberian Girl

Whoever voted Dangerous I admire your courage. I can't agree, but She drives me wild and Can't let her get away are skippable. The rest on that album - hell naw! Just first rate Michael.
But yeah some of the shit here about Thriller and Bad, I can never agree with it.

I voted Off The Wall, I still really like it, but it's probably the weakest when compared to his later works up to 1999.

This may not be a popular opinion, but I'm going to choose Dangerous. I am not a fan of all that New Jack Swing stuff on the first half of the album. The only songs on side one of Dangerous that I dig are Remember The Time and Heal The World. Fortunately, the second half of the album is exquisite, but after a run of three flawless albums, Dangerous marked a decline in quality control for me. Ditto. I really liked 'Black or White', and the album cover, but the album was an utter disappointment for me. Never cared for any of the New Jack Swing stuff at all, and it took about 15 years for 'Remember the Time' to finally grow on me. The videos for BorW and RTT were great, but hated the rest. I couldn't understand it at first, and thought Michael was pandering to a younger audience, because they're the ones buying records. But I also told myself his taste in music was eclectic, and he might like it. I didn't have to. And it was OK. He put out three unbelievably incredible albums in a row and I was grateful. I can't say that for too many artists. That's an incredible run. (And I can't believe OTW got that many votes).

Still I have to ask like Michael - Why you wanna trip on me, Dangerous is hellafunky and way too good. But you have your reasons though and at least you did not choose Bad. I need to stop asking questions that get me answers that sadden me.

Off The Wall to me is my leaving secondary school/going to college album. That's what Off The Wall says to me. It says a lot, but it doesn't say as much personally as other albums. Musically, its almost perfection.

It's amazing what a gulf there is between non-fan opinion and fan opinion on this. Most people hail Off The Wall as being his best, and superior to Thriller.

You can tell it is a hard core fan forum by OTW leading this poll by such a huge margin. LOL.

He liked a JT album for 2 weeks so he's clearly imbalanced to some degree. He may come round to Bad eventually. You distract him and we'll create some hyperbole.
