"Ghosts" reached 100 million views on Michael's official YouTube channel.
Directed by Stan Winston and screenplay written by horror novelist Stephen Kingand Michael Jackson the short version of the 39-minute medium film has been available since 2009.
In 1996, with the campaign to promotehis album HIStoryin full swing, Michael Jackson decided to make a music video that he and horror novelist Stephen King had dreamed of a few years earlier in 1993. Seeking to follow the success of his 1983 masterpiece Thriller, masterfully directed by John Landis, Michael originally planned a short video for the song,"Is It Scary", which was originally written, but not used, for the 1993 film The Addams Family 2.
When Michael expanded the track and concept, the project became for a while, the longest music video ever created, a short film timed in 39 minutes and 32 seconds and renamed, from "Michael Jackson Ghosts".

"Thriller 40" reaches the top of iTunes Brazil
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the best-selling album of all time, Thriller 40 arrived on a double CD consisting of the original King of Pop masterpiece and a bonus CD of rarities and demos in ten tracks.

Also posted in the Thriller thread: www.irma.ie/#chartTab22nd highest new entry in Ireland at #26 today. Not bad considering the lack of promotion. Queen got #55 with their re-release of The Miracle. Thought that might have done better than Thriller because of all the promo it had plus an official single/video release. Thriller #25 did a bit better, hit #5 in 2008. King Of Pop #65 in 2009. Immortal #69 in 2011. Bad 25 hit #19 in 2012. Xscape #4 in 2014 Scream hit #45 in 2017. |

A week after the release of "Thriller 40" and the album reached the Top 20 on the UK album charts.
On the official album charts, the album "Thriller" re-entered at number 18, its highest position since Michael's passing in 2009. It gives the iconic album its 260th week on the UK charts since its original release in 1982 — with a total of 8 weeks at number one.

Michael Jackson enters billboard 200 top 10 with 'Thriller 40'
The album "Thriller" returned to the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 for the first time since 1984.
It's re-entry comes after the release of "Thriller 40" reaching number seven on this week's album charts with 37,000 units sold.
"Thriller" originally spent 37 non-consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 between 1983 and 1984. It's the most weeks for an album of any artist except soundtracks. The album took a span of twenty-four years from the last time it was on the parades in 1985 until returning in late 2009.
