She's really ruining her face, it's quite sad. I appreciate it's difficult for a woman to age gracefully in the entertainment industry, as she would likely get damned to hell for having wrinkles and looking "old", but she has definitely gone too far the other way imo. Too many fillers, too much botox, too many facelifts. It's kind of sad really, seeing her looking like this.

I always thought Madonna's surgery over the years was quite subtle and graceful, however it's obviously more noticeable now, considering she's had more work done and is getting older.
I'm not going to sit here and criticise her though: we all saw that happen to MJ and thought it was wrong, so it's not fair to judge and dissect her too, if we're claiming the same standards.
Yes, you could say it's sad she looks like this now (I don't agree though) but if she hadn't had surgery then people would just be saying how sad it is that she looks old now.
At the end of the day I think Madonna has fallen into the trap of a lot of celebs - chasing a youthful look that is unattainable. People in their 50s or 60s who have surgery never look particularly young again, they just look like older people with surgery in my opinion.
I love Madonna and have respect for her. I don't care what she does or doesn't do with her face, but I do hope she's happy with it.
Madonna is almost hitting 60 and for that fact, lets face it, she's still fab looking.

I love her too first and foremost. I think it started looking too obvious around the time she released Hard Candy with the pumped cheeks.
I just think it's impossible to maintain your exact look with cosmetic surgery though, so you exchange your wrinkles with altered appearance. Although there are cases where the work is more subtle and people look more natural. It might be that it doesn't work the same way with everyone.

Whilst she's obviously had work done, isn't this just a really unflattering picture? I've seen other pictures of her recently and she looks fine. We all take a bad picture from time to time.

MJ at times, especially from 00-03 looked absolutely awful, and then would look like he stepped out of 1988. There's more bad pictures of me than good.

My middle aged spread doesn't look too bad in pictures, but you have to catch it from the right angle.

Left the iron on it too long I reckon.

I've seen other pictures of her recently and she looks fine. We all take a bad picture from time to time. Yeah, it seems like a mostly unflattering photo. Realistically there's minor signs of botox but like... so? It's certainly nowhere near that bad that it becomes a distinguished feature of hers.

I’ve never understood the obsession with famous people’s faces and plastic surgery. Who cares what anyone does with their face and their money? Madonna looks good for her age, she’s almost 60.

It is starting to look scary, she has a real fear of wrinkles too. She is turning 60 this year. I think this obsession started back in 1990, when she got collagen lip implants and she was only 31/32 then. You see her newly plumpened lips on the Immaculate Collection slick. She needs to drop the blonde schtick though, Madonna is a brunette. You see her natural hair in the Borderline video (An absolute classic) And Madonna, if you are here - Rebel Heart was 3 years ago, time for some more music bitch.

On a Michael Jackson site. Really? I don't see why MJ fans can't discuss plastic surgery of other artists. I called out MJ for ruining his looks when he was alive and got heat for it by a lot of fans on the boards. Now he's no longer here, it kind of feels like a mute topic so I let sleeping dogs lie and all that. But it's not one rule for MJ and another for everyone else. If someone was to start a thread on here asking for opinions on MJ's plastic surgery, it's not like I would say "he looked great."

I’ve never understood the obsession with famous people’s faces and plastic surgery. Who cares what anyone does with their face and their money? Madonna looks good for her age, she’s almost 60. These people are public figures. They spend decades trading off their good looks, their image and appearance. It'd be weird if people just ignored the fact that Madonna has started mutilating her face and stuffing it full of fillers and botox. I don't think anybody would say anything if she did it subtly, it's when they go too far that people start talking about it.
I'm sure if I turned up to my parents house with a new nose, it would come up as a topic of conversation. Why should it be different for celebrities?
