I don’t like Oprah either but that’s racist and they know it.

This is starting to get scary af. Scaremongering. There is no evidence that it is the hottest day in history, only since records began and only just warmer than 84 years ago. That isn't a significant difference.

Of course, it's not the hottest day in history, no one said it was. It's the hottest day ON RECORD. There were times when trees grew on the Antractica. The problem with pointing to that is that at the time no humans existed on Earth.
Also, while individual records don't mean much, but tendencies do. The growing frequency and intensity of such weather "records". And it's the tendencies that are worrying. Also the speed by which the average temperature of the Earth is growing since the industrial revolution. While there have been (pre-human) periods of Earth's history when it's been hotter, never before in history it changed so quickly. In the past climate changes took hundreds of thousands years which was enough for much of the biosphere to adapt. Today however the climate is changing by an unprecedented pace which is why it's worrying.

As someone who is really interested mixing and mastering and audio in general I really enjoy this guy's videos. The difference between the more dynamic Atmos mixes and the more compressed stereo is very noticeable. I don't think that the whole surround aspect is all that convincing when it comes to listening through stereo headphones but the greater dynamics definitely make the tracks sound a lot better.

Personally, I think pay for forums are obsolete and a waste of money. Free forums like this is the future, like it or not.
It IS a waste of money paying for somewhere to post your opinions.....

That and any forum where they've got the begging bowl out. Yeah, a lot of popular forums do that now. People shouldn't have to pay to express their opinion online, totally agree. This board is free to run, but if I ever made the decision to upgrade, the cost would be entirely on me. You can't start a forum and then expect the members to pay to use it. Seems a little absurd to me.

Seems a little absurd to me. I don’t pay for them, but I understand why some people would. It’s not just about posting your opinion, but reading what others have to say and seeing in depth discussions about topics you are really interested in that you might not get elsewhere. Sure, there’s places on the internet that let you do post for free, but some places that are more specialised might prefer to run things a certain way. I’m thinking of the Steve Hoffman forum in particular which gets a lot of activity and has countless in depth discussions on older music, but they also run without ads so as not to interrupt the experience. People can spend hours upon hours on these kinds of sites and learn a lot about topics they love, so see value in them and hence are happy to contribute a few bucks their way if need be. Especially since they want to run their forum in that particular way and evidently some of the users are happy to contribute to it to keep it that way. Ideally you shouldn’t be holding your users hostage about it though. The Steve Hoffman forum have been really good about it, they’ll sticky a thread asking users to donate money but that’s really it I think. I’ve never felt pressure to donate and they don’t get all up in users faces about contributing. If you really have to often, you should probably be looking for an alternative free model, like here with Proboards. They’ve done a fantastic job hosting this forum I reckon.

I agree that it's about a lot more than just posting your opinions. You also get to make friends and get to talk to other people who has the same interest as you. There's nowhere in my area I can go and hang out with other MJ fans, so I'm happy I can do that online
A forum can be a place that can become something that means a lot to you. I've no problem with helping out a forum financially, that I use a lot and that means a lot to me
