Yes. Joseph was surprisingly handsome as a young man. I wonder if his bashing of MJ's looks had to do with some self-hate issues on Joe's part. MJ got his nose clearly from his father and Joe had the nerve to mock him for his nose and say he didn't look like his child. SMH. Thought that for years why Michael self loathed his looks.

I don't want to start a new thread since Michael's letters to Bill Bray mention Joe. This is the reason I don't understand why many fans feel gratitude or appreciation towards him implying if Joe hadn't been "harsh" towards Michael, we would't have the genius artist we know and love. Bill Bray was more a father to him than Joe ever was, he was a brutal and exploitative manager. The first one is a beautifully heartfelt letter, it broke my heart reading the part he mentions Joe: "Bill, It's been a long long road, we have traveled throughout the years, concert tours, meeting dignitaries, kings and queens of countries, touring around the world twice, making people happy through the gift and love of Music. I'm coming of age now and realy [sic] realize the importance of true love. Joseph never ever had time for me, he only saw me as a way for him to make money. And as you know Mother was a perfect mother. But I never was with her, my childhood was on stage away from Mother. What I'm Simply Trying To Say Is Thank you For Being a FATHER. I don't know what would have happened to me if you were not around. I love you, M.J." Beautiful. Yet, it's sad that he had to look for a father figure outside.

Beautiful. Yet, it's sad that he had to look for a father figure outside. And I don't blame him. Michael couldn't have been clearer than this:

Bill Bray had some journey having a front row seat from the J5 all the Way up to the pinnacle. It's like he experienced the ultimate fan fantasy. Apart from sleeping with MJ which many fans would have liked. I always loved seeing MJ getting off plane's and anywhere accompanied by Bill. He was one of the few genuinely good guys around MJ.

It was a long, long road with Bill indeed, no wonder why MJ saw him more like a father than his biological one. The bolded part made laugh because it reminds me what he told Glenda about Bill. It wasn't a bed of roses for poor Mike: š¤£

Christ almighty! Imagine Bill Bray spent a very large portion of his life breaking wind in front of Michael Jackson. š
