Lovely floral tributes for Michael at Forest Lawn for Christmas. Is it true that his remains aren't in Forest Lawn but was cremated and the ashes scattered throughout Neverland? Or is it just a conspiracy theory by the fans? No, Michael was embalmed and definitely not cremated.

Iāve just started reading Brice Najarās Book On The Dance Floor. Very interesting. I didnāt know that the Black & White fan club was responsible for helping create the Ghosts box set. In fact it was their idea to include Blood On The Dance Floor and they came up with the entire concept really. The success of the box set hinged on whether MJ would allow On The Line be included in the set. Sony didnāt think MJ would allow it and discouraged Laurent Hopman and his team at Black & White from requesting it, but lo and behold MJ surprisingly allowed it. Much to the delight of everyone. They were also responsible for creating the program booklet for the Ghosts film premiere and they reproduced a mini version of the program for the box set also. 150,000 boxes were produced and it sold out. Aye, Christophe BoulmĆ© did the artwork for it and a few other things for MJ. IIRC, the Moonwalker 10th anniversary programme in 1998 was also by them. Hopman and BoulmĆ© had a company called Captain EO Productions, IIRC. It was done through this name, I think. Been a long time since I've heard their names mentioned. 300,000 Ghosts box sets were made. There's an interview in King of Pop magazine where Jonathan Morrish talks briefly about it. BOTDF was a surprise to Sony who had no idea the song existed until MJ played it for them in, I think, 1996.

Yeah, you may be correct about the 300,000 Ghosts box sets. The line in the chapter isnāt very specific. Hereās what Laurent Hopman says; ā Iām convinced that the presence of this exclusive track -On The Line- contributed greatly to the success of this collectors box set which, for the record, was a huge commercial success: 150,000 copies sold in two months. Sold out!ā So yeah, heās not actually explicit in how many copies were made. I did think that 150,000 wasnāt a lot and it can be purchased on eBay for very reasonable prices. Itās collectible, but itās obtainable. I may have actually read that Jonathan Morrish interview less than a few months ago. I might dig out my King of Pop magazines tomorrow. Iām on a massive BOTDF: HIStory In The Mix phase at the moment.

MJās collaboration with Bryan Loren is quite the fascination. The 4 officially released collabs between them ended up in strange places; Do The Bartman on The Simpsons Sing The Blues album, Satisfy You in -which MJ performs backing vocals- received a very limited release on Lorenās album Music From The New World that was a Japan only release, Mind Is The Magic, on a compilation album entitled Dreams & Illusions which was a limited Germany only release and also used in Siegfried & Royās show in The Mirage hotel in Vegas, and Superfly Sister which ended up on BOTDF: HIStory In The Mix.
The Loren track MJ was the most serious about was 7 Digits but they never got around to recording it. Loren worked on the arrangements for it following a phone conversation with MJ regarding itās possible inclusion on BOTDF: HIStory In The Mix but MJ didnāt have time to lay down vocals given the Sony deadline and how tied up in other tracks he was, so Superfly Sister ended up on it instead.
According to Briceās book; Although none of the Loren collaborations ended up on Dangerous, their collaboration massively informed MJ of the musical direction in which he needed to move into the 90ās. The Loren sessions played a big part in how the Dangerous album sounded despite no Loren tracks featuring on it.

Fascinating theory that Superfly Sister is quite possibly about La Toya; āMotherās preachingā Abraham, brothers they donāt give a damnā Sisterās married to a hood, Sayinā that sheās got it goodā
It makes sense given that MJ was quite close to La Toya and she would have been on MJās mind in 1989 around the Dangerous sessions when she married that thug Jack Gordon and MJ was collaborating with Loren. All of the lyrics on Superfly are MJās.
MJ found it hard no longer living under the same roof as La Toya as they were the only two siblings who werenāt married. They were best friends.
Christ, imagine how much it must have hurt MJ when La Toya accused him in 93. I know she was under Gordonās coercive control but it must have felt like a dagger in his heart.
La Toya filed for divorce in May of 1996. Superfly Sister was released in May of 1997. MJ and La Toya actually did become close again because MJ understood exactly what sheād been through.

I always feel this Brett Livingstone Strong painting would be perfect for a Blood On The Dance Floor: HIStory In The Mix Vol II. He created the album sleeve art for my favourite Fleetwood Mac album āTango In The Nightā tango IN THE night history IN THE mix

Itās mad to think that Xscape was released a decade ago! That's mental. More time has gone since Xscape than Off The Wall through to end of Bad campaign.
