I'll never understand people who admire or love Michael's artistry but believe he harmed children. And don't get me started on separating the art from the artist because he bound himself into his art.

Nope, he believes that Michael changed his skin. He also thinks Michael abused children. Michael doesn’t need anymore biopics. I saw Damien and the MJCast people kinda rooting for this. I guess they are just rooting for anything non-Estate and they are hoping this to be some kind of alternative to the Estate endorsed bipoc. The problem is such projects rarely end well for MJ. They talk about the Estate being possessive and controlling of MJ's likeness and music as if it's a bad thing, but for the most part it's a good thing. Especially for someone like MJ who's such a target. Yes, sometimes this results in the Estate not endorsing even positive projects (like Sonic Fantasy for example, which I think they absolutely should endorse and give MJ's music to), but I wouldn't want them to give MJ's music something we don't even know what direction it would take. I'm definitely not going to root for something I don't even know the intentions behind. I have never heard of this guy, but if he thinks MJ is guilty then it's probably not something to look forward to. But does he really think so? Some fans on X say he's a big fan, so I'm confused. What's the source for him believing MJ was guilty? But I'm not even sure if he's seriously working on something or this was just a throwaway line about what he'd like to do. Hopefully the latter.

They remain obsessed about the Cascio stuff that it bleeds over into everything they mention. It certainly has not done what they expected it to - put them firmly in MJ fan history. It wasn't ever major and pretty much everyone has moved on from that. But they're blatantly wrong that the Estate shouldn't strictly control Michael's image and likeness. It's really good the Estate does that and puts people on notice they'll take legal action if necessary to protect the brand. Failure to do so will result in far more damage than the Cascio stuff could ever do, so it's time they retired their one trick pony schtick. At this point, it's old and hugely unoriginal. As for Vanga, it sounds like he believes Michael changed his skin colour himself. Haven't found anything that suggests he believes MJ was a paedophile or anything. That said, it's right the Estate does not just go for any Tom, Dick and Harry. Or give unknowns carte blanche to make whatever the hell they like. Estate loses control of that eventually decades from now, so they 100% have to control everything in order to maintain Michael's position in life. His career and his innocence. I really don't care what a small group of bitter hardcore MJ fans think. Looking at their platforms, they don't get much interaction from Michael's very big and diverse fanbase. For good reason too. People just want to celebrate and enjoy Michael Jackson, so let the people enjoy him!

Yeah it's comical in 2024. I'll never forget them feeling the need to grill Mesereau about it, who was clearly confused and had never listened to the album. Very bizarre stuff

Very bizarre stuff That's absolutely insane and the sort of nonsense I wouldn't have stood for if Damien was still part of my old team! But I guess they don't really have a legal mind which is where Mez would expect you to go other than his thoughts on MJ as a human being. Spectacular fail....🤦♂️

He did a radio interview after LN. He made some statement about Michael more than likely being guilty. When Hollywood people say they’re fans, they just like Michael’s earlier work. They’re not really a fan of the man himself. Damien and the MJCast are insufferable. Their agenda against the Estate is beyond bizarre.

Branca is so young here. ETA: Sorry, now I seem to have a problem with embedding somehow, so here it is again with the "X" URL. x.com/appleheadway/status/1781564765602783345Anyway, for all the hate Branca gets in this fandom I think a lot of it is unjustified and over the top. I think overall he was one of the people in MJ's life who actually had his interest at heart and mostly gave him sound advice that benefitted him. Yeah, the Cascio songs fiasco is ugly and I wish some things have been handled differently since MJ's death, but that's not a reason for me to think he was a bad force in MJ's life.

A lot of fans hang on the claim Branca was conspiring against MJ's interests with Sony so MJ fired him. Problem is, LeGrand investigated that for MJ and didn't find that as he testified under oath in 2005. Michael went on to rehire Branca afterwards as we can see from TUC. It seems Michael had been listening to rumours, likely from those who wanted to force people like Branca out of his life in order to take advantage of Michael. That speaks volumes.
