I knew it! Thank you Gary! I’d thought I’d gone completely mad! Okay, it’s not the original version but it’s something, and I can live with something. I hope that Tony’s apology doesn’t contain any profanity. Here I am trying to cleanse my soul and he’s dragging me down. Yeah mate. You were thinking of the dance/club chart.....sure...aren't you always... So yes, there will be profanity in my apology. As in, you've got no fucking apology. How does it feel? When you're alone In a dance club in Leeds……

I guess it depends on one's definition of a deep cut, but MJ doesn't have many really, really, really deep cuts, considering most of his albums were singles and hits to some extent. I'd say these songs are actually among his lesser known songs for the general public, so I think it's okay to put them on a deep cut playlist.

Despite being Top 10 singles in UK 9 out of 10 people won't know them nor do they appear on most Greatest Hits, ergo.. Some people will get triggered over anything. How do they enjoy life?

Also I checked their position on Spotify: neither of these songs are among MJ's Top 40. GITM is #45, WII #52, SIM #53. It's a shame because they are some of MJ's best songs. While they are fan favorites they are criminally underrated by the general public. I hope the biopic will bring some of these forgotten gems to the forefront. Will You Be There too.
And of course Damien, like a clockwork, sees it as just another opportunity to whine about the Cascio tracks. LOL.

Even if some of those songs were top 10 in a few countries , it doesn't make them that well known necessarily compared to his no. 1 songs. So to me, that playlist is spot on. I guess some fans are addicted to hate the estate.
Changing the subject. I think I prefer the demo's instrumentation than the album version, it sounds more soulful and jazzy.

I'd have left out the posthumous remixes myself, but otherwise it seems like a pretty nice playlist to me. Changing the subject. I think I prefer the demo's instrumentation than the album version, it sounds more soulful and jazzy. Yes, I agree! Though I do miss the Rhodes a bit here. In general, while OTW is of course an impeccably produced album, the production is quite dense and layered in the way that was typical for the late-disco era. I think some of the soulfulness and funkiness is buried a bit as a result on some tracks (e.g. Get On The Floor sounds better stripped down, without the layers of strings, to me).

Some really nice Bad Tour footage was shared recently. MJ absolutely killing it on Another Part of Me at 2:26 in Cork. You can tell that's 30th July 1988 because the seats by stage right are full whereas they're empty on the 31st. I was a kid at the time and wanted to see Michael live on the Bad Tour. Liverpool and London were out of the question due to expense. That left Cork which was also completely out of the question due to the security risk PIRA posed to us, especially south Armagh PIRA. So, it'd be another 11 years before this little boy fulfilled his dream of seeing Michael live on stage - Munich 1999. And then NYC two years later. Bad, Moonwalker, The Legend Continues and the tour were all amazing escapism from the security realities of life at the time, even after PIRA murdered a relative and chased our car too. But, yes, lovely footage and Michael was in incredible form consistently throughout that Tour. The Mania spoke for itself! Someone got me the Tour t-shirt from one of the UK & ROI shows they went to. Don't remember which one, but probably was Cork or Liverpool.

If you have any video, audio or photos I’d really appreciate it if you would share them. I saw Frank Dileo outside the stadium talking to the security and I knew who he was, but I don’t think anyone else did know. I wish I’d had the ability to run up to him and ask him if we could go in but my I was an extremely shy 9 year old. So close yet so far.🤦🏻♂️ We’ll have to wait for time travel to go back and attend these shows mate.
