What I love about the debut is that in one way it's so disposable, bubblegum pop but you can really see the promise that was to come. I don't think ant of us expected her to become the best selling female artist of all time and a 40 year career. She's so ace. It’s definitely bubblegum but with soul! And it was some of the first music I ever knew along with mjs |

(Incredible vocal prowess was never the point of Madonna).
Lucky Star is still one of my Top 5 Madonna songs. Think of Me is an underrated gem that I wished had received the full remix treatment (has it?).
All Madonna fans should own the "You Can Dance" album, which remixed early hits. The Holiday-Everybody-Physical attraction remix sequence is hot and the segues between songs are great. (The entire album is great (Spotlight!!), but these are the tracks from the first album. |

I had a dream I was in bed with madonna…no pun intended
Also, I have tracks from Something to Remember on repeat. I’ll remember, you’ll see and this used to be my playground. The last one was Madonnas childhood before there was a childhood and done better in my opinion

Is it weird that I'm tempted to go to this? I've never been into Madonna's music but I kinda want to see this concert.
Problem is, St. Louis isn't on the schedule. Chicago is the closest location, but it's in February, and Chicago in the wintertime is hell. Hmm...

Which I quite clearly was. I had to confine my MJ obsession to my bedroom for the most part and my love for New Kids On The Block -Hangin’ Tough’ is a New Jack Swing album so fuck right off with the smirking- led to me living a double life! I did what I had to in order to survive! 😆🤣😂 |

I just watched the movie Who's The Girl again last night. What a great screwball comedy. I feel like if anyone other than Madonna had starred in it, the critics would've given it a chance.
