They were tough times growing up in my neighbourhood and if you weren’t a Chav you were considered weird and eccentric! Which I quite clearly was. I had to confine my MJ obsession to my bedroom for the most part and my love for New Kids On The Block -Hangin’ Tough’ is a New Jack Swing album so fuck right off with the smirking- led to me living a double life! I did what I had to in order to survive! 😆🤣😂 Probably wise. I was bullied relentlessly for liking MJ in secondary school. |

Yes in my teens during high school I felt like a closet fan as well and preferred enjoying him on my own, but that changed and I ended up flaunting him everywhere

I went last night and the show was incredible! She cut the last section because of the time due to technical difficulties apparently. Gutted I missed the LAV/BJ MJ tribute but the last two were Bitch I’m Madonna and Celebration and I don’t like either of them so I wasn’t too disappointed. It was a very different show to past tours - there weren’t defined chapters this time, which in one way made it exciting and the pace was immense but it was felt a little less cohesive. Live To Tell, Bad Girl, Ray of Light, La Isla Bonita, Rain, Nothing Really Matters, Open Your Heart, Bedtime Story were all stunning. The only song that didn’t quite work was this weird occult style version of Die Another Day - a very odd choice. Prince and Bowie get nods. One of the dancers dressed as Prince ‘plays guitar’ at the end of Like A Prayer - which goes into this interlude which if I’m correct used some of the ‘Dearly Beloved…’ from Let’s Give Crazy - I may be wrong on that but I think I heard it. TonyR butterflies2 - are you going? And thank God Russg isn't around to piss all over this thread anymore. |

It’s ok cause I’ve seen her already a couple of times |

Some of it was definitely fully live, but there was definately a reliance on backing tracks on some of the songs, unfortunately Bad Girl was one of them and it was a little jarring, as you could hear her real voice and the backing track at the same time - which kind of takes you out of the song a little. But it was still super cool to see it live, seeing as she hasn't performed it inexplicably in about 30 years. Yes, I forgot to mention Mother & Father. Love that song so was so excited to see it played. |
