The case of Jessica/Jonathan Yaniv

I don't think Yaniv identifies as a trans woman for real but I see it as a way for Jonathan to get away with his predatory and racist cunt ways since it's so in to be transgender nowadays. It's an attention whoring dude wearing dresses as far as I'm concerned.

I honestly, genuinely don't know if this is a step in the direction towards or away from sanity.

Related to the topic and issue of gender radicalism:

Sigh. I really wish people would stop using people like Yanniv to reinforce their rhetoric that people that don't do transness "right" (in other words how Blaire White says you should do it) are all entitled child abusers obsessed with tampons that want to put all kids on hormone blockers. That's not the goal, that has NEVER been the goal. As usual people love to watch individuals of the loud minority make a spectacle of themselves and assume everyone that falls under the same umbrella, even a little bit, agrees with their sentiment. Yanniv is a predator. Her transness does not negate the fact that she is a predator. Trans people can be criminals just as well as any non-trans person. The fact that people are using her transness as a weapon against other trans people and the LGBT community as a whole is an ongoing issue that I am all too familiar (and exhausted) with. Once again I am NOT excusing what Yanniv has done.


No reasonable person is going to "make" their child transition. The idea that it's easy to get on blockers or to even start HRT is an absolute fabrication. There are waiting lists that are months, even YEARS long for some people. You honestly think any practicing doctor worth their salt would see a 5 year old boy wearing a skirt and say that it's time to put Timmy on puberty blockers? Fuck no. That doesn't happen, will never happen, and nobody wants it to happen. No reasonable person should want to raise their child under a pressure to perform a certain gender. What people in the community really want is a neutrality towards gender expression and the allowance for a child to explore concepts OUTSIDE of the established gender norm; NOT to manipulate them towards transness. Things as simple as not forcing your son to play with trucks if he'd rather play with dolls; just allowing room for that kind of harmless behaviour that lets a child be in control of their own interests, and letting them shape who they are on their own terms. When I was a child, my younger brother saw me wearing a dress and liked how the skirt twirled when I spun, so he wanted to wear one too. So he did, and we had fun twirling together. End of story.
