I became aware of this case only recently, although it is going on fora while. One more example of how these far left ideologies can ruin society. Ideologies that are either unscientific or far from settled from a scientific POV are now put in law and basically people are required to bow down to mental illness like this. As absurd as it is, the Jessica Yaniv case has serious implications: www.thepostmillennial.com/as-absurd-as-it-is-the-jessica-yaniv-case-has-serious-implications/Recently a free speech activist was banned from Twitter for "misgendering" him - even though he himself uses both Jessica and Jonathan as his name. Never mind the misogynistic posts by Jessica/Jonathan, apparently that gets a pass. And he also looks like a pervert/pedophile. Can't embed videos from my phone but here's the Twitter thing. youtu.be/y3dbKitC3Nsyoutu.be/MXXbK3EtsA0

Isn't this the person who has caused the horseshit about women not performing a waxing on a trans womans testicles?
I've seen what Ricky Gervais has said (who has now been called a TERF whatever the fuck that means, and a transphobe) and I agree with him. I am not a transphobe, I just live in the real world. Seems like so many people think the world is black and white and NOTHING in between!

During Pride in my city, there was some activism/signs for TERF's which made me do a little digging. For anyone who doesn't know - TERF's are a fringe group of people within the LGBTQ+ community who oppose the inclusion of trans women in cisgender women's spaces. I believe some oppose trans rights too but i'm sure views exists on a spectrum like with most 'movements'. You see - I agree with some of the issues that are now associated with this radical group (trans women competing in sports in the women's category, the JY case where people should be able to refuse to wax male genitals if they are only trained to wax female genitals - or if the are simply not comfortable with it). However - like with many things now - if you simply question, disagree or scrutinise so-called progressive movements - you are called transphobic/bigoted bla bla. Smh.

I've only recently been exploring the subject of the 'regressive left' and it's really opened my mind about some things. I literally tested it earlier on this week with some friends and actually- everyone was up for talking openly about certain 'controversial' subjects such as Islam and Trans issues. Of course - we all had to ease into it - it didn't feel 'natural' but that goes to show how conditioned and inhibited we all are about discussing issues that should be perfectly and legitimately acceptable/normal.

Yeah, thats it. In Ireland we have had 2 very very progressive referenda pass, on Gay Marriage and Abortion, which is amazing for a country that was ruled by the iron fisted Catholic Church for so long. BUT NOW it seems that the very left people have sought out this trans issue, and are getting very very defensive and offensive about it. I dont think its as big an issue as being made out- sure Im aware trans people are going through hell, but we have people dying on hopsital trollies in hospitals and people with no homes and a SERIOUS suicide problem in Ireland, so in my opinion, this trans issue thats being blown up is not on my radar. But you say that, and you are lambasted by a certain type of group. Its very much like Leaving Neverland really. Skim the surface, that person has been wronged, FUCK YOU ANYONE WHO DISAGREES. Painful people.

I knew there was a problem but I couldn't interpret or understand it - as I said - the discussion regarding the 'regressive left' is new to me. It wasn't until Leaving Neverland where it all kind of crystallised - I observed friends, family and colleagues lose their mind and some people were so incredibly uncomfortable (even offended) when they learned I did not support the accusers. Some people have actually refused to allow me to reply after they have exclaimed "i think he did it". Someone literally said "we have to believe victims" - gave me the smarmiest look then turned around. So yes - today's 'left' is nuts.

Re. trans issues.
I think I am a pretty empathic person. When I first started reading about trans people a couple of years ago I went to a message board for them to see what they are talking about and what their issues are - to see the whole thing from their POV. It's not a good life. All their lives revolved around was hormone treatments and operations. It is very expensive too. So I don't think most of them would choose this life for themselves if they had a choice. It was also a Hungarian message board and here these issues by far cannot be considered "trendy" or anything like that. So I think it is an existing condition. I also think it is a mental illness. How can't it be? Basically you are saying your mind and body are at odds with each other. Interestingly on that message board there was a poll where they asked if their members thought it was a mental illness or not. The vast majority of them voted it was a mental illness.
Now, I know on the politically correct West they want to deny this, but they are in trouble with the whole thing, because if they deny it is an illness then of course they should not be entitled for universal health care for their operations and hormone treatments. They cannot have it both ways. But they point to homosexuality and how it was once considered a mental illness and now it isn't and they say it is the same. I don't think it is. I actually don't really think the "T" belongs to the "LGB". LGB is about sexuality. Transgenderism is something completely different. It is basically a kind of body dysphoria.
Nevertheless, I do think people have the right to be happy and if someone thinks they need to transition to be happy that's OK for me. But there are some serious issues with this trans thing that we can't pretend they don't exist like the regressive left wants us to pretend. Such as:
- The disturbing trend of kids and teenagers being given hormone treatments now, while the science just doesn't support this. But political lobbies are again stronger than science. This doctor talks about these issues:
- Pretending that transwomen don't have an unfair advantage in sports and biological women now just have to watch how their sports are being taken over by biological males who identify as females.
SMH.
I think we are rushing these things while there is not a clear scientific foundation of it and many people will eventually pay a high price for it. Also, I feel like we are forced by law to enable delusions now, which is like the Twilight Zone. I mean things when we are forced to pretend that there is absolutely no difference between a biological male/female or a transmale/female. Or when we are forced to pretend transwomen don't have an unfair advantage in sports, when it is so clear they do. Or when we are forced to pretend things like what Jessica Yavin is doing are perfectly OK. I am sorry, but there are some things that operation and hormone treatments just can't change. Your XY chromosomes won't be changed into XX and vica versa. Biology is just a fact of life. But say this and you are a transphobe.
There are lots of other issues with the trans community. Acc. to these videos, sometimes it's just temporarily gender confused teenagers who on the Internet are pushed to "transition" by peer pressure and because it is so trendy now to be something special. Apparently it often has to do with internalized homophobia, because these people often really are just gay, but unwilling to accept themselves as such. There is apparently a weird psychology behind it that many find it more acceptable to be trans than gay. That's actually also why in Islamic countries, such as Iran, it is prohibited to be gay (punishable by death), but it is OK to transition (the state supports it, and even forces gay people to transition).
Here are some videos that I found interesting.

Transgender woman, who keeps her male bits = man.
Possibly effeminate, drag queen man - but a man.
Weird, but still a human - yet I understand how the less liberal neighbour of Canada would get in an uproar.

To me these things relate. Dogmatic thinking for the masses who are too lazy to think for themselves and to research.
You are a good boy/girl if you "just believe the accuser" and "just support any ideology without any evidence supporting it or even with evidence to the contrary". No need to think. Just do what they told you to do.
Scientific thinking is very much related to how we think in court. Eg. the burden of proof is on the one who makes an allegation/proposes a new theory. It's not "guilty until proven innocent" and it is not "here's my theory and it is true as long as you don't prove it isn't". It's easy to say why that is.
And on every front of this new ideological war this logic and way of thinking is what is attacked and being undermined now. It's pretty scary. I have even heard that some of these regressive leftists actually attack the very foundations of science, on ideological grounds, such as "Western science is a result of patriarchy" and that kind of nonsense. Or when "indigenous science" (a collection of indigenous, observations and even superstition) gets introduced to university curriculum as an equivalent of real science. Or when we are basing laws on ideologies that absolutely have no proof in science - eg. that there are 46 (or whatever the number is) genders or that transwomen can compete fairly with biological women. People can be punished now in some states for not using some made-up pronoun for some made-up gender if that's someone else's delusion (I guess now I am a bigot for saying this). It got to the point where we are forced to cater to mental illness and narcissism.
Regarding LN I believe there are two ideological goals. On the short term to support the MeToo cult and to support the "just believe the accuser" dogma. But I think there is also the sinister long term goal of eventually legalizing pedophilia. Yes, I know that to some it sounds conspiracy-like now and crazy that anyone in their right mind would accept pedophilia as legal. Society isn't there yet. But they are working on it. LN is not an open pedophilia propaganda. They condemn the "big bad pedophile" in it. But the ideological seeds are planted with the whole "kids enjoy sex with adults" narrative.
It won't be long before arguing for pedophilia will be mainstream and pedophilia advocates will point to LN as one argument for it. Reed himself said in interviews already that the traumatizing thing for these accusers wasn't the "sex" but that they had to keep it secret for so long as adults. They weren't traumatized as kids, but as adults. That's straight out of NAMBLA's playbook! They argue that "sex" between kids and adults doesn't cause trauma, it's the shame society puts around it that causes the trauma, so we must remove the stigma by legalizing it, rather than ban sex between adults and minors. That's their argument! And that's what LN pushes as well!
The ideological groundwork is being done first. It's a gradual process. There is nothing they can't make people eat up with proper, gradual propaganda work. Just think of all the crap they already made people eat up! Who would have believed 20 years ago some of crap that is completely mainstream and you are not even allowed to question today?
And if you don't believe there are disturbing tendencies in the depth in these ideological movements, just listen to this!

And if you don't believe there are disturbing tendencies in the depth in these ideological movements, just listen to this!
The scenario in the video you linked is crazy: A 14 year old trans ‘man’ was in a relationship with a 25 year old trans woman whereby the trans woman was a dom, and the trans ‘man’ was the sub (naturally given the age gap). However, what you really have is a 25 year old biological male who was with a 14 year old biological female. Pedophilia. But because it is the trans community and the 14 year old female/trans ‘man’ is considered to be the ‘man’ in the relationship then it’s fine. And then of course – you add the power dynamics, manipulation and a “sex positive environment” of this trans group – who basically groomed these trans ‘men’ to shut up, support trans women and check their so-called male privilege. Then there is the ‘kink’ subgroup within the LGBTQ+ community - mostly online - where people assign the roles of being a sub and doms and basically the doms are confused teenagers. This is simply grooming. Plain and simple. All of this is basically what is happening with this JY person – alleged pedophilia is completely overlooked because we cannot question the transgender community or its surrounding ideology. And in this particular case – politicians are now supporting JY – it is absolutely mental. “It won't be long before arguing for pedophilia will be mainstream”
“The ideological groundwork is being done first. It's a gradual process. There is nothing they can't make people eat up with proper, gradual propaganda work.”
So yes – you are exactly right. I also found this interesting - Ben said that in their trans group that the only time these inappropriate, much older trans women who were being overly sexual about these young trans boys bodies got kicked out of the group was when the group leader changed to a trans man (biological female). Now I am not saying that women can’t be child predators – they absolutely can – but statistically it is overwhelmingly men. This biological female was able to see how deeply concerning the behavior of these much older biological mens' behavior was but the usual group leader - a trans woman/biological man couldn’t? I don’t think so. Even just discussing these things is considered highly offensive to most. I guess I am a bigot too. Re. Scientific thinking and relating it to the trans community: You mentioned how “indigenous science” was being introduced into universities as legitimate science. Although transgenderism is not an indigenous science, it's the same premise. I watched a talk (linked below) where a former transgender activist Hacsi Horvath discusses the origin/basis of transgenderism. They outline how today, there is a strong emphasis that transgenderism is something biological/innate. However, they explain that this notion of the wrong brain/wrong body is based on the assertions of a few psychologist and it is not based on any scientific evidence. This assertion has just taken hold in society and now laws, social norms, medicine, therapy, academia, discussion – everything is based around this unproven theory. This kind of disregard for science has and will continue to replicate itself - especially if universities keep succumbing to societal pressures from the regressive left. Re. your earlier post. "So I think it is an existing condition. I also think it is a mental illness. How can't it be? Basically you are saying your mind and body are at odds with each other. Interestingly on that message board there was a poll where they asked if their members thought it was a mental illness or not. The vast majority of them voted it was a mental illness."Now i don't know a lot about transgenderism but i tend to agree with this. Clearly it is not a happy life for many transgender people and whatever it is that causes them to not identify with their biological gender, science should not be replaced with theory. Especially when we are dealing with kids. Given the potential irreversible physical and psychological damage that is caused by hormone blockers and early treatment in children, it is absolutely despicable that this is perfectly acceptable. In fact, SJW often love and encourage this 'progressive' medicine madness. Urg. "I actually don't really think the "T" belongs to the "LGB". LGB is about sexuality. Transgenderism is something completely different. It is basically a kind of body dysphoria."Yes yes yes. I have always agreed with this. As an L of the LGBT gang - i have never had any problem with T being part of it. Why the hell not. But I cannot relate to their experience at all. Gender and sexuality are totally different. However I guess for the T community - quite often gender and sexuality can become intertwined so I can understand how at least for them, they can relate. "Gender confused teenagers who on the Internet are pushed to "transition" by peer pressure and because it is so trendy now to be something special. I have a young niece who now, in just one year, suddenly thinks they are a boy. Prior to this point - they were very feminine and presented absolutely 0 gender confusion. However - since recently meeting all these non-binary kids and gay kids at school - suddenly they are a boy, shaved their hair off, gets upset if we call them by their birth name/female name or use the wrong pronouns. I do not buy it and I do think they are just subscribing to group think and peer influence. They are also an attention seeker - they absolutely love attention. I know them and they are just simply not a boy. Now i wouldn't be so direct with them - I have to be careful with how I approach this subject with them because I don't want to hurt them but this is the problem today. We have kids who are getting swept up by this 'progressive' dogma because the conversation in schools, tv, media is so saturated with it. Smh
