The SACD is getting SERIOUSLY good feedback, I've even seen that the CD part of the hybrid disk is almost as good!

Yeah, didn’t she call him the love of her life in recent years and they’re still close friends? I’d call it a “fuck-up” in broad terms. Not sure what’s so offensive about that? We all know what I was referring to. Many have not forgiven him and many more never will so he has to live with that for the rest of his life. Personally, I’m not the type of person to condemn someone for the rest of their life for making a mistake. He was on probation for years and served his time. Anything beyond that, I’d have trouble. You say he has a decade long history of violence against women? Really? I wasn’t aware of that. The tribute is controversial in and of itself, sure. Chris Brown was still free to perform but chose not to. He won an award in fact. Performing a Michael Jackson Thriller medley was seen as problematic. However she feels about him now doesn't change what he did so I don't see why that's relevant? Especially when it's obvious that this wasn't a one-time "mistake" and there have been multiple incidents of violence since then. And he's clearly not remorseful for what he did, instead he's using DARVO tactics to shift the blame. Even has the nerve to complain that Rihanna was bleeding on him after he beat her up, lmao. He "served his time" with a few years on probation and community service after he almost killed someone (seriously, read the police report). He did not spend a day in prison after he beat a woman so bad she had to be hospitalised. But you have trouble if he faces any more consequences than this? If you genuinely don't understand why people don't want a convicted domestic abuser celebrated and awarded on an international stage, I don't know what to tell you. And I'll stop talking about it now, don't want to derail the thread any further Plus, to add insult to literal injury, have you heard his music??

It reads more like they didn't want Chris Brown, a convicted violent domestic abuser, paying tribute to MJ due to allegations. Suggests they'd have had no problem with an artist with no convictions paying tribute to MJ as well as preferring an artist with a conviction doing something else. But not the two together. And this was Brown's first opportunity to perform at an awards show for the first time since the MeToo era emerged. Another consideration. Are you sure about this? So MJ would in fact be allowed a tribute/celebration on an awards show? Your man did it on the Billboard Awards a few months ago for T40... No problem whatsoever. With Chris Brown doing it? Big problem, clearly.

BTW, every two months on Twitter Chris Brown fans start this "CB is more talented than MJ" BS and their reasoning for that goes something like: "Chris can sing, dance, rap, do the backflip, play basketball and paint. Could MJ do all of this?" I'm serious, this is a thing. Before Twitter I never realized Chris had so many fans and that they are so delusional.

I just checked his insta and he has 124 million followers (wtf) but his posts barely get half a million likes. The comments are intense though, good lord.

To be fair, when he was asked about these comments he said they are nonsense. But there have been even podcasts discussing this in full seriousness. Hell when you look around YouTube, it seems to be a full genre. LOL. When you Google just "Chris Brown talented" (without even mentioning MJ), these are the first videos that come up immediately: youtu.be/Jl1kRQl6qpYyoutu.be/TyHreO03364youtu.be/bRFaA3oYyY0youtu.be/x0600rlXyocThe delusion is real. No one outside his cult following is checking for Chris Brown. Especially outside the USA. When did the dude last have a hit? What are his legendary albums with potential for longevity? And just because he "can sing" it doesn't mean he does it well. He's a great dancer I'll give it to him, but he doesn't have the elegance and originality of MJ. What are his trademark moves and choreographies that when people see will immediately say "oh, it's a Chris Brown dance"? Backflips are circus acrobatics, they don't make a superior dancer. And who cares about painting and basketball? What's next? Who cooked better? A jack of a all trades, but master of none is not a greater talent than a true legend.

Oh and the general sentiment in his fandom seems to be that he was on his way to be the new Michael Jackson and the only reason he isn't widely acknowledged as such (or being even more talented than MJ) is because of the Rihanna scandal and other scandals in his private life. There's a totally delusional cult around him.

Chris Brown can paint (fairly average looking graffiti), ok... and Michael couldn't draw? Chris Brown can do backflips, but have you ever seen him attempt MJ's choreography? Not great. Get back to me when Chris Brown writes a song as good as DSTYGE. Then after he does that, he has to write 30 more lol. Oh yeah, and Chris Brown sounds the same on every song and can't emote anywhere near the way MJ could.

It doesn’t change what he did no, but if she can forgive him then maybe that’s the way forward? But, if he has a repeated history of this then that’s pretty unforgivable. And I wasn’t aware she almost died from this? I never said “I don't understand why people don't want a convicted domestic abuser celebrated and awarded on an international stage” let’s not jam things down my throat that I didn’t say. So this then should absolutely finish peoples support of the MJ estate and they should be held accountable and called out for it immediately. After all, they are the ones who would have given permission for this performance. I would imagine some sort of boycott?

Here's another one: "Gashi says Chris Brown is the most talented human ever to live" youtu.be/ZOvFcqtnujAAlso read the comments! It's kinda entertaining. When someone says: "MJ is better" or "Prince is better". They are like "Can MJ/Prince paint? Can they box? Can they do the backflip?" It's a seriously delusional cult. LOL.

You see, the problem for me here is, is that people are now all in on tearing Chris Brown apart -he’s fair game- but with real glee and taking pleasure from it. I’m not sure how that makes things right? I lived through that as an MJ fan and it’s a bizarre feeling when someone is tearing apart someone you love whilst grinning at you. It feels almost satanic.

The bonus digital tracks are actually fun to listen to straight through.
Beat It 208 really does deserve all of the shite it gets. It's abysmal. Why the hell is Fergie saying "You want it? Come get it!" in a song about telling people not to say that...
Far and away the worst piece of music ever commissioned for release by Michael Jackson. And I'm including Invincible in that (JOKE).
