His death was quite odd given the recent details I've read around it. He told his daughter she would have to be the "lady of the house" and to take care of her brothers because he wouldn't be around very much longer. That was apparently a few weeks before his death. His children saw him crying on the floor and in bed often after the rehearsals.
He didn't suicide. He died of the anesthetic dose. But I think it's fairly odd how he knew he wasn't going to be around much longer. Maybe he thought doing the shows were going to kill him due to his health and his age? It was way too much for a 51 year old man.

He believed people were going to kill him for his catalogue, and like he was being set up by somebody. I’d like to believe that’s why he said it. I don’t know if he had a death wish, but the thought of that is too painful and it’s been 15 years now. Better to be present and focus on his music and what he means to you if I were you.

It was way too much for a 51 year old man. 51 isn't that old and it was a residency, in one location. Loads of artists do punishing tour schedules well into their sixties and seventies. Madonna just completed a marathon tour at 65, just after a life threatening health scare. Hell, Mick Jagger still tours and he's in his eighties.

Do they have an autoimmune disease and chronic insomnia See that's what I mean. Some of the needle marks on his body observed after death were from prednisone injections.
