Yeah, I love this part on the DVD, but I can understand why they couldn't have all this 10 minutes in this documentary. The way they cut it was great though, juxtaposing it with footage of the American Music Awards that were going on at the same time. Resulted in MJ coming across as a really dedicated pro. And by showing what was going in different places at the same time it also really transported you to that night. Yeah, really well made points. It was really well done! WATW has been in my head since watching it and I've been listening to All Star and demo versions for first time in years. Some wonderful vocals and Michael sounds amazing.

It's a very well made documentary, I won't deny that and I'm glad it's having a lot of buzz being in the top 10 around the world but I preferred the DVD.
The DVD showed more behind the scenes footage and more interaction with the artists, therefore, more Michael footage that was sacrificed in favor of the talking heads but like I said previously, I'm glad The Greatest Night of Pop has been a hit all over the world putting Michael in a positive spotlight showcasing his talent and artistry.
Lionel Richie's stories with Michael's pets were so funny but it still annoys the hell out of me when most people "imitate" Michael's voice when they talk about him, they sound ridiculous. Why can't they act with normalcy when they're telling stories about him? Though it was nice of Lionel to praise MJ's ability to compose the music.
I didn't get why the filmmaker devoted several minutes to talk about Prince not wanting to be part of WATW when in the 20th anniversary DVD just got mentioned and showed footage of an award show of Quincy passing him the microphone and Prince had a lollipop.

Really enjoyed this. I'm glad most of the people interviewed were actually involved in it and weren't the CEO of tiktok.

More than a quarter million likes Netflix posted the same thing on Instagram and the replies were overwhelmingly positive. I was pleasantly surprised. I don't think Michael was trying to be shady but that meme does always make me laugh. There are so many viral posts about it. Here's another one with over 4 million views:

This is what we like to see Add the Netherlands to the list of countries where it's #1. I like that MJ is the image for it. Hopefully this will show Netflix and other media that positive material about MJ also sells.

Number 4 in the US according to what Netflix showed me.
I finally watched this last night. Pretty enjoyable, and overall felt like a much better presentation than the Thriller 40 documentary. Plenty of funny moments throughout too i.e. the story about Lionel meeting Muscles (Michael's snake).

#9 in Mexico. It disappoints me but at least it is in the top 10.

Iโve watched half of it so far, itโs alright. I always preferred do they know itโs Christmas to this, but it was important to put this out. Also found it cute that Michael called Lion Lion-el I used to do that too when younger
Just saw till the end and seeing the mass hysteria over the song felt so emotional. I wish Michael was treated better since he was the mastermind behind this, I feel sad all over again

Coronation Street referenced the song tonight:
Glenda: Why don't we join hands and sing "We Are The World"?
Love to see it!
