Just heard it and at moments I think it's from the tapes the ghostwriter used for Moonwalk (the video description itself says it's from 1988) and when he's referring to how unsatisfied MJ was with Billie Jean's performance, it makes me think the interview was done in 1984. Unless that very 3 hour interview was the basis to write Moonwalk even if it was conducted in 1984.

This particular one would be Shaye Areheart's tape since description says 1988. |

Someone I know noted how this shows MJ was always the same person, always himself and always true to himself as he voices the same sentiments here as he did in the Oxford speech 20 years later. It's interesting if MJ already had the idea of a memoire in 1984. It's also clear that this interview was more candid than how Moonwalk ended up which was a bit watered down compared to the things MJ says here.
* Oh yes, it's the same. There's the part about parent-child relationship and whether the child jumps into the father's arms when he gets home. That part is on both of these leaks.
I wonder if this Celebrity Classified channel has and will post all three hours?

Jacqueline approached Michael in 1984 for Moonwalk, but he was so resistant it took a while to get him to agree. Michael didn't like how candid it was with Robert and nixed the level of detail. |

The subtitles are a bit distracting, they don't always match what Michael is saying. I feel like I could do a better job and I'm not even a native speaker, lol. |
