The date is 2021. So he's already extorted the Estate here. BTW, Santikapowski's comment also shows how fans have been nervous about him for long. I definitely was since the songs and then since fans drove him away from social media.
BTW ignore Amen's crazy ass. I wish that fan stopped feeding him all the time, he's the only one who engages with him. When he first learned about the case he didn't even know it was the Cascios ("How do you know it's them?), so he clearly doesn't have any insight. But this fan told him about that it's then and since then he's going on about them being victims as fact. He is also a complete nutcase.

i stop supporting the estate last year. but to know this news is shocking. Michael should have been more careful who he surrounded himself with. i'm glad people are starting to understand Michael needed help. he had a bad abusive childhood as butterflies2 said before Michael was indeed codependent. in my opinion Michael's legacy does have some dents in it but it is not damage. as i said before if this case with Wade and James wins, we are screwed.

On a sidenote: So far Janet's stupid comment on Kamala Harris is getting way more attention than this Cascio crap.

Reading this again in the Financial Times article:
So from this, to me it looks like that this second time, January 2024, the extortion threat was that they would go to Sony and tell them about their allegations and with that undermine the deal. The article seems wrong in the timeline a bit as it says by January 2024 the Sony deal was finalized for 9 months. It wasn't. Katherine at the time was still fighting in court to block the deal. The report of the deal having been finalized came in February. (So as we speak today, 9 months still hasn't passed since the finalization of the deal.)
This to me makes it looks like that the Cascios saw the news about the Estate negotiating a $600 million deal with Sony and threatened to torpedo it if they don't get 1/3 of the sum. This really looks like textbook extortion. I think the Estate probably has a good case against them in that. And BTW, which victim plays games like this?

Makes you wonder who their lawyer is. 🤔 i guess the ball is in their court to see if they react or realise what they have done and how it looks now the estate is going after them

Additional information is that Eddie Cascio filed for bankruptcy in 2020.
Another tidbit of information is, that someone in June 2020 tweeted to Charles Thomson that he has inside knowledge that Eddie and Dominic Cascio are accusing MJ of sex abuse. He claimed this saying he knows them personally. He added he doesn't believe them. When someone asked why he doesn't believe them he tweeted "Because I know them." This person claimed that the allegation is that Eddie was abused until he was 25 (he was born in 1982, so basically it would be up until MJ's last visit to them in 2008) and Dominic claims abuse until he was in his late teens (he was born in 1986, so this would be up until 2005). This account later was deleted, but fans saved the screenshots. Now of course, the recent events give it some credibility.
Here are the Cascios with MJ in the early 2000s. Dominic is the one in white t-shirt and Eddie is the one next to him. So the claim is that MJ at this point still abused both of them and Eddie basically up until his death. Whatever happened to the narrative of MJ losing interest in boys when they turned 14?
Gosh, Eddie turned out to be the worst of them all! Fake songs, false allegations! What a rotten person! "Angel" my ass. Not that Frank isn't probably involved. 5 family members are apparently, so three others must be supporting. I guess the family logic here was that considering Frank spent decades of defending MJ he won't be the one claiming to have been abused, as then his decades long defense would be harder to explain. He can now claim that he just learned that his brothers had indeed been abused. (Although he must not really believe them considering his "liking" of MJ content on Instagram in 2021.)
It's very telling though that even this person who shared this information in 2020 said he didn't believe them because he knew them. What a trash ass family this must be!

What's depressing to me about the Cascio's coming forward now is that it just speaks to how rotten so much of mankind can be. It just seems that everyone has a price and once you reach it, things like morals, integrity and truth cease to be of any importance. It makes me despair at times, how people can be ugly and rotten to the core.
The nice thing is, I scrolled on a tabloid website comments, just to feel out the general mood, bracing myself for the worst. To my surprise, 95% of the comments were sceptical and calling it out for the blatant cashgrab it is.

It is strange how this story has gained hardly any traction from the mainstream media. I wonder why?

It is strange how this story has gained hardly any traction from the mainstream media. I wonder why? Maybe because it's coming from the Estate. Or maybe because there are so many other, current things are going on in the world. But yeah, Janet's controversy received a lot more attention.

I wonder if the estate released the story to pip them to the post? My guess is they were trying to deflate the impact of them going public by getting the story out first. Which means they will almost certainly do something public now the story is out, like an interview or joining the LN bozo's.

Which means they will almost certainly do something public now the story is out, like an interview or joining the LN bozo's. Reed didn't seem to know before the news broke, so I doubt they went to him. IMO they didn't go to anyone but the Estate, which is another giveaway. I mean if you say your trigger was LN to suddenly realize you were abused isn't the more natural next step would be to contact the other accusers' lawyer? If you go to the Estate that's with one and only one purpose in mind: extorting them. Of course, I think that Wade and James are also extortionists at the end of the day, but they are playing it much smarter than the Cascios. I can't help but thinking what the Cascios pulled here is incredibly stupid and gives more ammunition to the Estate to fight them and in fact it can even end up very badly for the Cascios (jail) if the extortion can be proven and it stands. Regarding why the Estate chose to go public with it, if the Cascios were already in the process of going public and they head to beat them to it? That's one possible explanation, but there are others. Like for example that the Estate reportered the extortion to law enforcement and started the civil arbitration process, so it would have been out sooner and later now and they wanted it to be out on their own terms. Maybe I'm completely wrong but I somehow don't think the Cascios were in the process of going public, in fact I think what the Estate pulled here might have caught them completely off guard. The Financial Times tried to contact them for their article, but they declined. Frank was still selling MJ memorabilia on an auction website less than a month ago, dubbing himself as a close friend of MJ. This doesn't show me that they were preparing something.
