Guys... I watched Spike Lee's Michael/Prince party stream... and now I can't stop listening to Little Red Corvette. Help. Also, is the audio in this song supposed to be peaking intentionally or did they just fuck up the remaster? I've heard this song before and I don't remember it sounding so distorted. The best version of Little Red Corvette I've ever heard was the version he did the last time I saw him in concert about a year before he passed away. It was a re worked, slower version of the song. It was so so cool. Oooo really? That's interesting... Not sure why this song stuck with me. It's weird cause I've heard it on the radio before but was just like "whatever". Then that party happened and I listened to it like five times lol. The big selling point for me is the guitar bit after they sing the title during the chorus. Like... that part just sounds so cool. I wonder if Michael liked it too... |

It's a shame the estate didnt add a different live show CD to the W2A set. I got 2 bootlegs over the weekend, from the 13th and 14th of May at the forum and the setlists are way more Prince orientated in tbe first half unlike the Blu Ray.
Such an extremely pleasing band to listen to regardless.

Yeah, I haven't really been able to get into any of the tracks released thus far. I kinda like Alice Through The Looking Glass, but don't find that fantastic either.
But I expected this, as this is one of my least favorite Prince eras. The 1999 super deluxe was the ultimate release for me thus far, I still regularly play many of the vault tracks.
I'm looking forward to the Blu-ray that's shipped with this though!

When there's musical sewage like Jughead, Daddy Pop and Push on the main album, how bad must the outtakes be? Even the big hits, songs like Cream and the title track are just corny-ass, cookie-cutter drivel. Meh, I'm just being salty really, cuz a D&P deluxe would've literally been the last thing I'd have wanted to hear from his vault. I'm sure I'll give it a listen at some stage. |
