I'm glad Sasha Barron Cohen wasn't chosen at the end, it was rumoured he'd be cast as Freddie. The actor's characterization of Freddie in the 70s was spot on, I'm not that sure in the 80s.

The actors can't be as bad as the Freddie biopic I watched on C5 recently. The Brian, Roger & John were hilarious.

There was one scene where Brian, Roger and John are having a pint outside a very small pub which was HILARIOUs

It was the wigs that got me. Hopefully this will be better, at least it's official & has the backing of the band. Looking forward to the 'Brian & Anita' spin off 'The perm years'

Looking forward to the 'Brian & Anita' spin off 'The perm years' The scene where he tells Jim in bed that he has AIDS was very odd. "whats wrong?" "Ive got AIDS. Ive got it". "oh" I always did suspect he changed to stubble in 89 to hide lesions though. Tom Hanks did in Philadelphia too.

Apparently some people are pissed because the film is not going to deal with his homosexuality. or AIDS. I had to put a full stop between Homosexuality and AIDS to properly separate them I don't know how to feel about that.

This looks good though. I'm glad that when they sing, they use the actual vocal takes of the band for authenticity. Like it seems obvious that ofc they'd use their actual vocals, but I never thought about how they'd approach that? Didn't cross my mind. Cool remix too. Apparently some people are pissed because the film is not going to deal with his homosexuality. or AIDS. I had to put a full stop between Homosexuality and AIDS to properly separate them I don't know how to feel about that. They should focus on it in the later half. It was AIDS that effectively broke Queen apart. Homosexuality should obviously be addressed but depending on how much their personal lives are the focus, I'm not sure to what degree.
I hope it's also honest and not watered down, but it probably will be because it's official.

It's like an MJ documentary/biopic, as fans we'd just want the music and the art, but you can't really not mention plastic surgery, vitiligo or the allegation (and no, I am not comparing child abuse allegations to AIDs!) but a real biopic covering these years should discuss them. I don't think the Queen pic covers the 90s so not covering AIDs would be okay and if it's covering the music & the band then his sexuality is irrelevant I would think.

Rumour is the film ends at life aid. I'm still gonna see it but if this is true then I'll be pretty disappointed. I loved the trailer, though.

I don't really like Queen very much, but do like a good music biopic, so will probably see this.
