Funny, was gonna start a thread on this recently. I like them. In fact I like SDMW AND CLHGA a lot more than the average fan. I'd rank WYWTOM as my least favourite. The thread was about the old Bad vs. Dangerous and how it's so tricky to find a favourite as on it's the 'lesser' tracks that make it for me. SD, LG and APOM are amongst my favourites on the album and elevate it massively and are much better than the Dangerous lesser tracks. But Dangerous's highs are better than Bad's I reckon which is why I've always favoured it Didn't ask for your life story. Ha! Karma’s a bitch! 😭🤣😂

I know that album was the first time you thought MJ could make a “Bad” track, but do the highs on HIStory match the highs on Bad/Dangerous and are the lows more or less? Bad has an advantage in that it has less tracks, so less room for lows whereas Dangerous has 3 additional tracks and HIStory has 4 if you include Come Together. So they’ve got more opportunities to fail. HIStory's highs absolutely match the standard of the highs on Dangerous - and there's more of them. In terms of career-best songs on Dangerous, I'd only really select Who Is It, perhaps WYBT at a push. By contrast, career-best songs on HIStory are TDCAU, Earth Song, the title track and Little Susie at a push.

I’d like to see lists from the likes of pg13, @respect, @innuendo, Russg, ghost, russtcb !

Well to be honest you and Tony seem biased to certain things that I wonder am I just wasting my time asking you both. With Tony it’s this constant banging on about Give In To Me/Who Is It/Will You Be There and you constantly going on about Invincible this and Invincible that yada yada yada. I mean sometimes it’s just like “could those two take a day off?!”

I mean is there literally any love at all for Off The Wall? It always seems to be brought around to Dangerous and Invincible. There is more than just those 2 albums ya know.

Dangerous Remember the Time Who Is It Give in to Me Will You Be There HlStory Earth Song TDCAU Stranger in Moscow Despite of Dangerous having more highs I don't consider HIStory inferior. HIStory is almost like a concept album to me, that works as a whole. They have different functions, like each album in MJ's catalog.

This week it's WDAN, BTDO, DSTYGE BJ, WBSS, BI APOM, SC, DD WII, GITM, WYBT (shocker) ES, TDCAU, SIM YRMW, T, WH in terms of just Top 3s, I'd rank the albums as such: Dangerous HIStory (close 2nd) Bad Thriller OTW Invincible

Can you guys answer me why Who Is It, Give In To Me & Will You Be There are so far above everything else on Dangerous? Or are they? I mean what’s the big deal exactly? I love them but I equally love others on the album. In fact I love Remember The Time, In The Closet & Dangerous just as much.
Why is it when MJ does a rock track it’s instantly considered great?

I think it’s the best trilogy of mj songs, and they stand out from the rest of dangerous cause they were written by him and not teddy riley. The harmonies, beats, emotions in the vocals, build up of the songs as they progress are unparalleled

As an 80s fan, I was disappointed by the first half of Dangerous - the only tracks I really really loved on side one were Remember The Time and Heal The World. I still remember being in my early twenties and breathing a massive sigh of relief when I first heard side two of the album. From WII-GITM-WYBT-KTF it was abundantly clear to me that MJ still "had it" and that the MJ magic was still there, despite the trend-chasing which took up much of side one of the album. Sorry TonyR if that makes you cry.

Sorry TonyR if that makes you cry. I knew when I was writing my post that you'd be feeling the opposite. It's good though that 2 fans with similar ages found it different. I love that. I mean, you're very wrong...but I love it 😉
