Bedtime Stories is a bit like Music for me, two great lead singles but the rest is a bit meh. Don't Stop is a perfectly serviceable cute bop but it's a really obvious placing of "if things don't go to plan we need some basic bops to push out". Ignoring the stunning run of singles Secret/TAB/Bedtime Stories/Human Nature, deep cuts like Sanctuary, Forbidden Love, Survival and Inside of Me are amongst her best songs of the 90s imho. |

There's a new Madonna biography out, almost 900 pages. www.amazon.com/Madonna-Rebel-Life-Mary-Gabriel/dp/0316456470Someone posted about it in an MJ group I'm in, just posting the MJ related parts. Nothing that we didn't know of but it's all nice. Is it a good book to read to learn about Madonna's life and career, does anyone know? I'm contemplating reading it. |

Pretty annoyed I never got tickets now. All the clips look amazing. So glad she seems fully live.
Hope the Glasto rumours are true and I can see it on TV.
Always amazes me how independent Madonna is. Every other artist has done the same old, same old Christmas album, Las Vegas residency etc and she has never allowed herself to be turned into a nostalgia artist.
If she does do Glastonbury she'll be on the main stage, not the 'Legends' slot. Putting her on the same level as other 'older' artists like Bowie and Macca.
