I nearly lost it after 6k. The last couple of miles were really tough, harder than when I do 10-13 miles but I guess that was because of the extra pace. I set out a mission to keep up with the 50 minute pacers, which was amazing. I couldn't have done it without them. I'm fine today!!

Theres nothing like race day, finding out what you have in the tank! Thats fantastic, they really did their job too by the sounds of it. I paced 50 mins once and NEVER again! What's next on your plan? I'mma have to live through you for now Tony. Sounds like you have a great recovery, especially as 4k is quite a distance to find tough, so that is a brilliant sign.

Ran half marathon this morning but hit a wall (metaphorically) at 10.5 miles so last bit was real struggle. Done it though!

I've entered for a full Marathon next May because I'm mental apparently, so need to get match fit. Can fully recommend running to anyone that needs headspace (or for those needing to rediscover music

I'd heard about this wall before but never had properly experienced it before this. It was just like my body wanted to stop. I could have cried. Had to briefly stop but managed to make it home. 8 minutes slower than I wanted but next time I'll make sure I've eaten well the night before (I'd not sure i had this time - not enough fuel).

Oh its the worst isnt it? I hit it on my first marathon and I actually had to stop and walk, someone had to give me a chocolate bar. Hit it around mile 18, it was honestly awful. BUT I maintain that when you hit it, it's the best lesson you'll ever learn. You got it out of the way nice and early like myself.

Well done. How does it feel?

Well done. How does it feel? Felt like I had done a marathon all weekend 🤣 Was amazing being out and getting 6m in, but man is it going to be a slow process. But I'm ready, today is day 1. I had a huge blow out at the weekend, so I can't wait to get stuck in this evening and back at it. It's all about training smart for now, just base miles and I'll build on that. Did some nice walks yesterday which helped recovery but it's gonna be a long road. Can't wait!
