Gorgeous morning to be fair. Plus I got to see my sick neighbour out walking, who I haven't seen in a couple of months! They could have been dead. Do better. Beckhams Razor.

9.10 a mile. Just under 2 hours 36.
Not bad for minus 2 degrees.

I only did it this morning. Came back, defrosted, overdosed on eggs and had very long hot shower. Now watching Gavin and Stacy which is I believe part of a proper recovery plan. First 12 felt okay, struggled bit after that especially as was hilly. But overall not bad at all. First 12 was all between 8.35 and 8.55 then started to take longer but still chuffed.

Ultra training period starts today. Been doing yoga to prep. That should make it dead easy.

My flu/cold/consumption/literal 80's AIDS/infection I've had for the past 3 weeks now WON'T go. Is there a massive wave of coughing, colds and flus in the UK too?!! !

How's things going for people?
Very pleased to say I have my mojo back for running now and can put my mind to most distance I've tried so far.
My pace is off but my 16 week plan starts Monday and am on course.
I want to do my March half marathon in 1.55 and then aim for sub 4 for the full thing.
I can do it, I just need to start strength training as well as 4 runs a week which I will.

If you're getting sick, rest. The miles will look after themselves. Your plan starts around the same time as mine. Just started a 15 week plan for the ultra, with a handy 33 mile week just done. Glad to have made it back up to my weekly mountain run. Feeling good after a VERY enjoyable christmas and looking forward to a lovely dinner.

First two base weeks going good. Back to back 10 milers on a treadmill is absolute hell. Lucky to have one, but have when I have to use it. Our roads and paths where I live are still covered in ice/frost but I'm hoping them to be fully thawed out for the weekend.
