http://instagram.com/p/Bar7xSbAu-M You know there was that story about George Michael and the MJ allegations - it is referring to that. The story was told by some one-night stand guy that GM supposedly picked up from the Internet and then he told this story to some tabloid website, so the source doesn't seem too credible, but it made me wonder. So according to this guy he was watching the MJ verdict on TV with GM in 2005 and GM completely flipped out about how MJ should be put in jail etc. Now, of course, it's possible that it is true, who knows? Celebrities aren't above of being affected by media brainwash and I am sure GM has never really studied these allegations in-depth. So while it would be a bit disappointing, it doesn't make him evil, just uninformed. One thing is I respect in him, even if this story is true, that at least he had the sense to keep that opinion to himself publicly (unlike many others) - perhaps sensing he doesn't know enough to have a go at someone publicly with that. In any case, the good thing in that interview snippet is that he calls MJ a genius. LOL.

I left a comment there.

Finally watched the documentary. Brilliant.
Such an honourable, genuine and unbelievably talented man.
Looking forward to getting the LWP vinyl and immersing myself in it.

He sounds kinda like he believes MJ was and is being careful to appear more on the fence.
But it's open to interpretation based on that.

I love this documentary and hoping to buy it on DVD if it comes out, all the giving and he was just such a beautiful soul. Being late to the party and existing on a Wham! the Final, Ladies and Gentlemen the best of and TwentyFive for my GM fix. I went out and bought the LWP 2CD thing and a 2 disc set of Faith with the extra disc of remixes and extras.
Having a George Michael afternoon. My interesy in him goes back to me hearing Club Tropicana and Wake me up before you go go in 1984 when I was 8 and just remembered really liking those songs.
But until 1998, the only album of his I ever had was Wham! the final.

Just bumping the GM thread. He doesn't get enough love on here. 3 fantastic solo albums (plus Patience - screw you MattyJam ) Not to mention some of the best pop songs of all time with Wham! Possibly my favourite voice of all time. I could watch that Unplugged performance every day until I die. After Dangerous I think my bootleg CD of Unplugged is my most listened to album.

I mean Invincible is a better album but what I mean is, I listen to both albums & think, "yeah it's good, but it pales in comparison to all other works." Freeek! is good, but no Fastlove or Too Funky and MBHAB is a lovely ballad but no 'You Have Been Loved' or 'Kissing A Fool'.

It's only just occurred to me how deliciously sweet it is that, as a mod, I have the power to put "Invincible" under your username. Haha. That's genius.

The parallels between George & MJ's output though is quite startling in terms of number of albums, length between works, finishing on a low (at least in my eyes) and then a premature death. Plus starting out in a 'boy band'. Quite startling really.
