Love seeing George on the piano as they all just jam about! “Pianos are very difficult, aren't they?"

This scene just made this night a tiny bit more extra special. I think about it all the time.

You get some brief looks at the footage before they restored it - quite grainy! They did a fantastic job bringing out the colour from the negatives too.
They also discuss the restoration of the audio, as well as give examples of demixing (which PJ did briefly show off in a podcast a week or two back).

I think they did a good job with the colors but is it just me or did they go a bit overboard with the noise reduction? It gives it a bit too much of a plastic look at times. Nothing wrong with a bit of film grain! Still, a lot of care and effort obviously went into this.

It seemed more intense in Episode 1 and the beginning of 2 since they were in the darker Twickenham where there would've been more grain. Once they got to the lighter and brighter Apple Studios, the digital noise reduction was still noticeable but not as bad.

I think my eyes just got used to it and it doesn't bother me anymore. It definitely looks a bit better on Disney plus than on Youtube.

Just finished part 2 again. It really is spectacular. Keep picking up on small moments that I missed the first time around. I found the Nagra audio tapes, which are like 18 CD's or something. They're remarkably clear.
Has anyone read You Never Give Me Your Money by Peter Doggett? Great read to follow Get Back. It doesn't have as many source citations as you'd like but it's a fantastic read.

They're remarkably clear. Has anyone read You Never Give Me Your Money by Peter Doggett? Great read to follow Get Back. It doesn't have as many source citations as you'd like but it's a fantastic read. 18 CD’s?? That’s excessive!! I listened to the white album today just to slightly predate the Get Back sessions which is only a few months, which in itself is remarkable. Anyways, I love love love the white album but feel there’s a fair amount of mediocrity on it, but because it’s such a sprawling body of work which goes off in a few different directions it’s just an overall majestic experience when in the right mood. I tried to whip up my own ten track version as one does. And came up with following. Glass Onion Bungalow Bill While My Guitar Gently Weeps Blackbird Rocky Racoon I’m So Tired Mother Nature’s Son Helter Skelter Revolution 1 Cry Baby Cry Good Night It became an eleven track because Good Night is such a beautiful album closer. Is there anything I should add or remove? It’s mad the amount of greatness that flowed out of them on the white album which was still at #1 in the charts while they were going through difficulties with Get Back. Why were they so eager to jump back into a project so soon with Get Back, and had they had a break and George recorded a solo album at this point would they have stayed together? Even George mentions it in Get Back that he just wants to “do me” for awhile and they could still keep The Beatles intact.

I think mine would be fairly different (which is the beauty of this album) Back in the USSR Glass Onion Ob La Di, Ob La Da While My Guitar Gently Weeps Happiness Is A Warm Gun Martha My Dear Blackbird Don't Pass Me By Birthday Helter Skelter That's based on this very moment, as I've been listening to a lot of Paul this past few weeks. I've just finished my second rewatch and I think it's my favourite documentary. I keep finding new bits and rewinding. You almost feel like you know them after watching this. Completely de-mystifies them a small bit, which is amazing. I want to grow my hair and get facial hair now.

Completely de-mystifies them a small bit, which is amazing. I want to grow my hair and get facial hair now. I’ve tried to get away from the “is it more dominated by John or Paul?” thing because I’m beginning to feel it does us all a massive disservice. The thing that made them “fab” was the four of them being in the same room and greatness spilling out of all of them into the mix, whether in large or little part. Even Ringo. His mellow presence in the room adds a sort of reflectiveness during awkward moments that helps them to get their heads clear! I’m not sure if that even makes any sense! 😂 I opened my version with Glass Onion because it feels like a continuation of Pepper/Mystery Tour; I told you about strawberry fields You know the place where nothing is real Well here's another place you can go Where everything flows. The entire track addresses the past and introduces the present. It’s groovy maaaaaan!! I love every song you have on this list. I’ll have to add them. Soon I’ll be back to the full 30 tracks! Well except maybe for Revolution 9!! If I remember correctly, according to Lennon “Number 9” was an interpretation of Revolution via a sound collage in order to inspire a revolution in people. Or something like that. 🤔 Grow the hair brother!! Your fair haired so you’ll have that sandy-surfer-beachy-windswept-70’s vibe!! ✌🏻

Have started it. Fascinating.
Even as a casual Beatles fan.
Yoko's a laugh isn't she?

I got the book for Christmas, its lovely. Havent read it yet, but it's the same size as the cd set which is nice.
Bluray coming soon too, bit no special features unfortunately. Was hoping for a full uncut version of the rooftop concert, but wont complain. Already looking forward to a rewatch

Was hoping for a full uncut version of the rooftop concert, but wont complain. Already looking forward to a rewatch The full, entire rooftop concert is in the film. Or do you just mean no split-screening to show footage of the crowds below?
