1. Rhythm Nation 2. Control 3. Janet Jackson (1982) (I was hoping this would be an option) 4. Velvet Rope 5. Unbreakable

I feel its bloated and the tracking on the CD is a problem. Also, Janet was doing way too many interludes. What's the point of a 3 second interlude?! lol

But Janet has first quality tracks such as That's The Way Love Goes and if. Her best two songs. Plus You Want This, Again, Anytime Any place, Throb.

That's right, but those interludes serve a purpose. In fact, I was never really in love with Velvet Rope but grew to appreciate in recent years. Plus...when I put it on my iPod, the interludes were not added unless they were needed LOL

The first song young MattyJam ever bought on cassette single with his own pocket money. True story.

Great video also (as were most of them from janet). There was a B&W and a colour version if I remember correctly.

Wasn't there also two versions of Love Will Never Do?
The videos from Janet era are incredible (and sexy).

Not sure on that one? Love WIll Never Do is my favourite from Rhythm Nation, it was also were she seemed to find her confidence.
Yes the videos from Janet (notable TTWLG, If, You Want This, Anytime Anyplace) are incredibly sexy. I was very in love with her at time.
There were 2 versions of TTWLG, If, YWT) all slightly different and an R Kelly remix of Anytime.

VHS video from Woolworths, I must've been about 10 or 11 at the time, and the lady behind the counter wouldn't sell it to me, because it had the full length shot of the album cover, with the guys hand over her breasts. I got the manager, who checked the certificate and let me buy it. Although thinking back to the music videos for If and Anytime, Anyplace, they were quite racy for my young, innocent eyes!

I thought it was/is one of the sexiest photoshoots ever.
Not saucy enough to refuse to sell it to you though.
What with janet & Erotica being released around the same time, I'm surprised I ever left the house.

The person holding her breasts was actually her then-husband Renรฉ lol
I think Janet was really sexy during that era, but in a classy and playful way. I think she overdid it in Damita Jo etc.
