This has just been confirmed. The Patriarch lived a long life. I have very strong opinions on a lot of what he has done, but it's very sad to see him live to a fine age of 89 and go because of cancer.
RIP

My grandfather used to say "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"
Thus concludes my thoughts on Joe Jackson passing away.

Michael had a very difficult relationship with him and he was definitely not father of the century. But what is done is done. Hopefully his family will find peace.

I feel more weird about this than I thought I would. I don't know why, as we all knew he was dying and he certainly didn't show a great deal of compassion himself in his lifetime. But there's something quite sad about the Jackson patriarch having passed.

But there's something quite sad about the Jackson patriarch having passed. Yeah, same here. I have a hard time even say RIP because it would feel a bit hypocritical as most of my feelings about him are not too positive. But I guess I will leave it at that today.

But there's something quite sad about the Jackson patriarch having passed. It's always sad when someone dies. He may not have been the best father in the world, but he was the only father Michael had. If Michael found it in his heart to forgive his fathers transgressions, then who are we to judge?

RIP Joe Jackson.
Far from perfect but you stood next to Michael during his darkest hour in 2005, and in part created an empire that sold over a billion records.
Not a bad legacy to leave behind.
My thoughts are with your family.
