They are even suggesting that Joe really did chemcially castrate Michael and it was the big family secret so he could sound kiddielike longer and was also forced to take female hormones. It does not help many of them hate Michael and some of the African Americans are very convinced that Michael was a Paedophile and a race traitor.
This is what pisses me off about Tabloids, is that we are mostly intelligent enough to see it for the junk it is, but 99% of the population swallow up and believe all these lies. Even in the trial, the only people on Michael's side were us the fans and his family. Everyone else had convicted him before he even got due process.
There are a few genuine fans and I find it interesting, how most blacks defend the abuse, but the whites are disgusted by it. Is that the same here, most Black people and older people (Before the politically correct love wave of 1989/1990) seem to think whopping your child in the ass and talking about who got a hiding the night before (Us Maoris call it "the bash") and everyone else is disgusted at it, thinking children are okay in playing video games all day and call you a motherfucker, because they ahve youthful energy and the wonderment of childhood.

2 things about that video.
1. Michael had been brianwashed by the Rabbi (Who was like 30 at the time, how the fuck can he be a rabbi that young) and was being coerced to say that shit.
2. It is an impersonator sounding like Michael reading rubbish.
Joseph was abusive but I doubt he oiled up kids or tried to kill them. Do you really think Katherine could sit or stand idly by, while her kids are dripping in oil waiting to whipped to near death by Joe, also oil costs money and even today 2 litres (Sorry i don't live in America, so all you stone age measuremnets people need to translate) costs like $9, so how can an impoverished Black family, buy gallons of oil for child sex and physical abuse rituals. Michael could have an active imagination being childlike and was easily impressionable.
The Rabbi Schmuley (If ever a name screamed derivative) brainwashed and mind raped Michael for 2 years and probably got Uri Geller to hypnotise his ass into saying that shit (There are no other reports of him going on about oil abuse)and given the sick and depraved minds of these two (Geller and Boteach) I am not surprised they ahd Michael saying things like that. Do you guys honestly trust Schmuley Boteach, I don't, he was another maggot and parasite feeding on a vulnerable and extremely naive musical legend. He joins the pantheon of such characters as Arnold Klein, Michael Schaffer, Debbie Rowe and Evan Chandler. The bright amongst you will see the connection, and once Michael turned back to the right path, the shit died down. After the trial Michael had enough intelligence to stay away from those types of people.
I do believe Joseph abused and exploited his kids though and used Psychological along with Physical abuse. He had a horrible temper and yes the kids were a troop of performing seals. I would even call him sadistic, but at the same time he was just a simple man who did not know any better. Joe had hit the lottery by having Michael as a son, but as a businessman Joe was useless. Things like Joe Cola and Ivory Tower Records were so laughable they went nowhere, but making his kids move to Epic and encourage to write their own music was his one BOSS move. Come on now Scorp (assuming from the org and style of post), that's pretty far reaching. It's quite obviously him, you only have to search online a minute to find other videos of him telling truths he wouldn't usually in 'private'. Joe was one seriously sadistic man and wherever he is he's frying for what he did. Purple Warrior isn't Scorp Scorp has a VERY obvious way of posting....many spaces, vague statements, constant mention of "the tragedy" |

The very fact that affectionate gestures like these were the exception, something that stood out and wasn't the norm in that household, should tell you something and it's not that Joseph was a great father. MJ tried to forgive for his own sanity and to be able to move on. The fact that he chokes up during this speech should also tell you something about the trauma he experienced and that this wasn't someone who made up or exaggerated his abuse like you are now trying to claim. That MJ tried to forgive is totally irrelevant in whether there was or wasn't abuse. Forgiveness doesn't make something that happened to no to have happened. |

Stop misconstruing my words. I never said he was a great father and the abuse never happened, just that he was the product of a loveless upbringing and he was incapable of showing love himself. His methods of child rearing were barbaric and violent, but he was not oiling up kids and flogging them to death. My guess is you know little about child rearing practices in the pre 1990s pc era, and also amongst the working class and Black communities before they were mainstreamed. Joe probably had to face all sorts of Humiliation and Discrimination in his daily life and dealings with the man and he took those frustrations out on his most passive victims - his family. Joseph was a bully pure and simple, but he was also a victim of the man.
His using of his kids was the same as the using he had from the man. I like many other people over 35 (Say Generation X or further back) grew up in a family where discipline meant having your ass whupped real good, hidings and slaps for messing up or mucking about. Yet it was not all the damn time. After one you straightened up and flied right for a while. Yet this PC touchy feely brigade make every parent out to be some sort of vicious and callous brute, yet I knew when I was playing up and knew I deserved to have an ass whupping. Just because Michael had a problem with it - so what. He still became the biggest star of all time and kicked the family to the kerb in the 80s/ Joe was sadistic and brutal, but Michael paid for it with his own selfishness and disdain for his brothers and their families.
Joe was a bad father, but at least he was a father, 76% of black kids now grow up in fatherless homes. They were lucky to have parents that at least cared about them, kept them in clothes and put food on the table every damn day.

For starters, you're basically saying you know this situation better than the very man who experienced it first hand, but in addition you're willing to admit Joseph's methods of 'discipline' were violent, yet you refuse to accept the idea of him oiling them up? Like that's some sacred line he'd never cross? Like it's simply too far compared to else he did?

I think you're overblowing just how much people are reacting to slapping etc as discipline. It's well accepted that it used to be an accepted form of discipline, and just because people question how valid it is now does not mean they look at their parents as being vicious or brutes for using it.

Because MJ became the biggest star he should have just put up with the abuse, I guess, and just shut up about it and not to be so "selfish" to talk about it and to distance himself from his family for whom he was hardly more than an ATM machine.
